Ristorante Milano

We have loved the meals, lakeside setting and been coming back to this historic family run restaurant for nearly 20 years. It seems like each year they produce food so divine , one cannot wait to return. We experienced five one Star Michelin Italian restaurants on this trip and considering the setting, wine selection, quality and detail of the food preparation at the Milano, we found the pricing very fair and worth every euro.

Chef Agostino and his charming wife maintain everything in the restaurant to extend to you a 1st Class experience. We can hardly wait for our return in May 2024.

Luckily for us guests, this restaurant doesn’t have the hype of a Michelin star. Yet, the food easily competes with the very best. Combined with the outstanding service and atmosphere, Milano is unique and worth every visit.

I encountered this gorgeous Michelin Restaurant on the way back and was taken for a tour to come back next time. Lucy is the most kind and friendly host, who was happy to show me around and give me a tour of this gorgeous place.

Will definitely come back for dinner next time.

MAGICAL! Everything from the food, the location, the service, it's truly a special spot in the world. You have to try the tasting menu because the array of flavors jump off the plate and make you wanting to try more and more! The sage shaved ice cream has so many unique flavors it makes you relish each bite.

Beautiful presentations, fresh and delicious. Plus a lovely location, great staff, wine list, art, ambience, appropriate music. My favorite restaurant on Lago Maggiore. There are none as gracious and sophisticated yet also friendly. If wonderful food is part of your life, don’t hesitate.

An absolutely amazing experience. So happy we came to this wonderful place. The atmosphere and view from the table were outstanding and the food was so good. If I ever goes back to lago Maggiore this would be the first place I book.

Very fashionable place, at an amazing location! High quality service and delicious food, and even though the portions are not so big, the plates have a very nice mix of traditional italian and innovative cuisine! It is a costly restaurant but the experience is really for a five stars feedback.

Walked by in the morning and were taken by the setting and house, walked in to ask if we could book for the same night and were immediately welcomed by the owner/chef and shown the beautiful interior and terrace. Upon returning we were welcomed by the chef and his direct staff as old friends and had the best light perfectly balanced meal since many many restaurant meals with perfect wine choices and exceptional points of interest as the beautiful bowl of small berries and melon with the amuse bouche and very pleasant friendly and extremely professional service; easily deserves a star !

This is one of the most romantic restaurants on Largo Maggiore! If you bring your boat call ahead to dock on the pier at the restaurant. Make sure to dress to impress.
