We stayed one night and it was lovely! The rooms were great. The location is amazing, such a treat to hear the water lapping the shore at night. The breakfast was to die for, the croissants were exquisite, and dining on the balcony was amazing. We did not really ask the staff much, so can't comment too much on the service, but everyone was super nice. I would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I spent 5 nights here and enjoyed our experience immensely! The hotel set up a driver to meet us at the train station in Salerno, and when we arrived a staff member unloaded our bags from the car and carried them in for us. Our driver, Antonio, was a joy to chat with and provided us with a few recommendations for food and sightseeing during our stay.

Our room had a lovely little balcony that faced the sea so we could enjoy the sights and sounds every day. Breakfast on the terrace looking out at the sea was a great way to enjoy the morning, and the staff was very accommodating with food or drink requests.

The location of this hotel is perfect for travelers that want to stay in Amalfi all day or go out and about to enjoy other cities on the coast. The main street is around the corner, or down the back staircase if you want to avoid the road. The ferry and taxi areas are across the street. Many restaurants and beaches, including a free public beach, are across the street as well.

We recommend this hotel for anyone looking to enjoy a stay in Amalfi. Do yourself a favor and enjoy a dinner at Sensi, attached to the hotel, during your stay too. We plan on booking again on our next trip to Italy!

Perfect location, amazing views, helpful, friendly staff. Beautiful rooms. Include the breakfast as part of your stay. Breakfast on the balcony is amazing.
If you’re driving here, try get into the town by no later than 9.00am. No traffic, you can quickly double park in front of the hotel to drop off bags. This is strongly suggested. Parking can’t be pre booked, but if you get here early you’ll find a spot. If leaving the car for a few days, make sure it’s in an allowable long term parking spot. Parking is not cheap, about 40€ per day.
Use the local buses and ferry to visit other towns.

Right on the main marina in Amalfi. Noisy but the noise cancelling of the windows and doors in the hotel together with AC mean you get the best of both worlds! Very quiet once closed. Hotel is very well decorated, staff are very attentive and helpful and there is even a Michelin restaurant in the hotel (reserves its 4 stars). Note parking along the whole coast is a big issue and the hotel has no dedicated parking spaces. Contact them though and they will point you to some suggestions (such as the public wharf park at EUR40 per day).

The room was small but had enough room for us to get around it and we only were there to sleep. Our balcony faced the sea and it was beautiful! It’s very close to the main room so it can be noisy but it wasn’t bad.
The hotel is VERY close to the buses and ferries also the main part of the town. The location is amazing.
The free breakfast was good as well and it was nice a little touch to not worry about breakfast every morning.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Amalfi!

We just finished our stay here and would highly recommend it. Our room had a balcony that overlooked the water and the main harbor. The service was excellent from the front desk to the housekeeping to the dining service. The fantastic Sensi Dinner ( 6 courses and wine pairing -wow) and our breakfast service was more than expected. The hotel itself is charming and the location is right in middle of everything.

A beautiful hotel that was the perfect base to explore the Amalfi coast. The staff were professional, friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms were well appointed and the views from our balcony and dining area at breakfast were breathtaking. After spending our days tolerating the Sita bus network, this hotel was a welcome oasis of calm and luxury. Thank you for the excellent service.

This hotel has a perfect location, especially if you have a full sea view room. The beach (hotel provides beach towels) and a bus station are just across the street. The other bus station and the ferry are less than 5 minutes walk away. A Tabacchi store is at the next door for bus tickets.
The stuff are not only friendly, they are very helpful. They would tell you where and how to take bus, ferry and where to park your vehicle (don't take a vehicle there unless you have to)

Hotel was a great location! Esp if you are using the ferry or the buses as the station is right there. It is also walking distance to pretty much everything around. The hotel room was great and we got an ocean view with a little balcony. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. I think there could be a few more options for breakfast but overall was a great stay!

Great hotel right at the waterfront in Amalfi. Easy to walk to after arriving in Amalfi via the ferry. Included breakfast was well worth getting as it’s table service made to order not a buffet. Room was tidy and neat. Staff were lovely however wifi was incredibly slow. Running mobile data (4g) was needed if you wanted to successfully access the internet

Excellent hotel in Amalfi. The beach is right across the road and the taxi/bus stop is a 1 minute walk. It’s a great location to stay in Amalfi. The rooms were comfortable and we had a small balcony looking straight out to the Mediterranean. The staff was very warm and welcoming. They gave us good recommendations to walk around Amalfi too.

I am currently on my stay, while here I wanted to provide my review! Hands down this place is amazing for the price. I would highly recommend Hotel Residence for your stay in the Amalfi Coast, or just Amalfi. It has been tremendous.

Here are my highlights: 1- Breakfast every morning is amazing, plus the view and free. 2- Leave the room key at the front, small place, SUPER friendly staff. 3- Location is perfect. 4- Beds could be a little more comfortable, but pillows are great. 5-Hotel is very quiet, which is nice.

I reccommend Amalfi to be your home-base, nice places here, decently priced and accessible to all of the other towns. Travel-Mar by Ferry. Busses can be pretty busy, also motion sickness can hit you, fast corners and heavy brakes...but you should be good, don't be afraid of it.

Very nice 4 star Hotel in a historic building, the personal is exceptionally friendly and helpful, the room is super clean. Great breakfast with view over the ocean. Can totally recommend staying there.

Superb location right on the waterfront at the bustling heart of Amalfi, perfectly positioned for the sights and restaurants. We enjoyed four fabulous nights here. The staff were exceptionally helpful. The hotel was spacious, well appointed and clean and our room big, bright and comfortable. We used a car to tour around the area and the hotel arranged to park it off-site each night, which was less hassle than we thought. We'd go back.

The concierge were excellent and so kind and accommodating to myself and my friend. We had an great stay, fantastic location. Our flight was not until the late evening and they let us store our bags in their storage room and they charged our battery packs and were so gracious about it all. Such wonderful people - thank you for hosting us!

Hotel Residence has been a truly delightful experience. We have had the privilege of staying here for 2 nights, and we're blown away! We were welcomed by Andrea at reception, who was a great help to find our way around and to make us feel at home.

We had a ro with a great view of this picturesque town. Amazing hotel feel, and great breakfast and dining experience!

Excelent 4 star hotel with the best location of the city. Very kind staff and amazing people. The room was really good and they were so kind to give us the ocean view room. Everything was exceptional here. Just walking distance to the Duomo and also the rest of the places. Definitely recommend this place and cant wait to come back.

Really lovely stay in Amalfi. Had the pleasure of enjoying their delicious breakfast and pre-dinner cocktails. Perhaps the most underrated hotel in Amalfi for the prime location and attentive staff! Make sure to get a sea view room, they are the best. A bit out dated and not 5 star luxury level beds by any means but this shouldn't take away from the experience and overall the hotel stay was flawless! Will return to this little gem... hopefully soon!
