Carrefour Express Via Vittoria Store

I know this place has had mixed reviews, but we found it incredibly useful with a huge range of foods and wonderful fruit and vegetables. We will definitely go back.

Where you find. As long as you want and you buy nice this afternoon I'm going to see if there's anything interesting

Much better selection and assistance than in Coop nearby. A good selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. A decent salumeria in the back. A reasonable selection of wines given the limited space. "Warning: if there is a special (though undefined) football match, take-away alcohol sales are banned for the day. This is not just for this store but city-wide."

Great experience, Andrea the shop director is a special and sweet person. I recommend this place.

for all household goods.. no need to pay expensive city prices from smaller shops, especially if you are on holiday with a limited budget

I am an American tourist staying locally for a week. My landlord recommended to use this grocery store. It had everything I needed, people were helpful, and were pleasant. Normally I do not rate places but thought it could be helpful to other tourist

I love this little grocery store, and it's always my first stop when I arrive in Rome and need to stock my rental apartment or hotel room kitchen. The weird little passageway full of folded-up boxes etc is one of my favourite parts of the experience - very characteristic, and where else are they supposed to put that kind of stuff in a small space crammed into the centro storico? This is Rome! The store has everything you'll need and more, including decent produce, albeit a far more limited selection than what you'll find at a farmer's market or in Campo de' Fiori. Great selection of gluten-free and organic products. Staff are as polite to you as you are to them - no more, no less. You don't really need the red carpet rolled out to pick up a few groceries, do you? Again, this is Rome - The Eternal City, with nothing to prove to anyone, and Romans embody the spirit of their city. Go with it, and enjoy.

As usual great selection of produce and opens late too.

the outside entrance balcony was filmed in the movie roman holiday in 1953, when Joe followed Ann in an outdoor market of via bocca di leone. Ann was shocked by a vender showing an Eel to her in the intersection of via bocca di leone and vicolo del lupo. Later Joe bought a watermelon in the intersection of via bocca di leone and via della croce. In that intersection, people can see Fontana del Bottino near Piazza di Spagna in the film.

It was a refreshing stop for us while walking at rome streets under the sun . You can find all you need , especially you are planning to have a snack on the street under a shadow.

Here you can buy as if you were in home, maybe a little stepper but more convenient that convenience stores and more selection. Great selection of cheese at the end of the store!!!

Lovely little supermarket for light shopping - we picked up some water, Pepsi, fruit and chocolate to snack on since it was very close to our hotel.
