We loved, loved, loved every minute of this family vineyard with heart and beautiful wines. Red wine was an absolute delight and their sparkling wines are one of the most innovative. Beautiful time.

Luca and his family are just inspirational not only for their wonderful wine and selection of local food but also for fighting to keep their Dosso. Thanks Luca for a great visit and your story!

Booked for a cellar tour and small wine tasting (2 wines), but, like others, ended up staying longer to enjoy the atmosphere and a greater variety of wines.

The hosts are knowledgeable and passionate about their products, and gave us a varied selection based on our preferences. The L'Alternativo instantly became my favourite. The local meats and cheeses were also excellent!

Good wine and authentic people, highly recommended.

Absolutely recommended! The owners welcomed us in a fantastic way: they showed us the cellars, explained us how they make wine in a super knowledgeable way. Then we moved to the tasting area and it was just perfect: amazing selection of local cheese and meat, and of course accompanied with their amazing wines and their company. We will come back for sure.

Father and son (6th generation wine makers) display their passion for wine. The wine is pure and refined, simple and complex. They took three hours of their time to talk about their history, the process of wine making and their passion. We had delicious food to accompany the various wines. After an ‘after dinner wine’ named after their grandfather, some chocolate and more stories, unfortunately it was time to go. Highly recommended!

We would leave more stars if we could. Truly one of the most enjoyable wine tastings we had. We took the 8 wines formula and loved the selection of both Franciacorta and red wines (a rarity in the area). Thanks to the expertise and advice of Matteo, it felt like an afternoon among friends. Unlike so many others, he stayed with us the whole time, commenting the wines and just chatting about life and his passion shone through! The local cheese and cold cuts platter was also very enjoyable. Higlhy recommended!!

A must do if you are in Franciacorta. The owners are very welcoming and friendly and it feels like having wine tasting with an old friend. Wine tasting was accompanied with an extraordinary platter.

We booked the tour with the tasting included. This is a lovely family business led with such passion. It is wonderful to listen to the history of this winery and taste the differences between the franciacortas and wines.

Local winery and intimate tasting by the winemaker himself at a VERY reasonable price, considering the quality. The wine was amazing and so was the local meat and cheese that accompanied it. We went to a two hours wine tasting at Il Dosso’s winecellar, four sparkling, two red and a sweet red (similar to port wine and sherry).

The tasting itself had the feeling of a relaxed conversation with a craftsman about his passion, rather than some sales rep. giving a pre-rehearsed presentation. By talking to the actual winemaker you get a real insight into the full artisanal process of winemaking, from soil over ‘vinification’ to the wine we had in our glasses.

The sparkling wines tasted magnificent, complex and with particularities including blanc de blanc (Chardonnay) and blanc de noir (Pinot Nero) as both young and aged wines. The red were silky and smooth while still having deep complex aromas - we tried a Carmenere, and a Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon blend.

A wonderful experience. A family run vinyard open for visits and tastings. Artisanal winemakers who are putting their history and passion into rare and interesting wines, both typical and atypical of the region.

We dropped in without appointment and were given a warm welcome. Both father and son talked us through their land, their unique philosophy to winemaking and shared their delicious wines with us!

If you’re interested in the history of the Franciacorta region and in developing your pallete, I’d recommend a visit.

Fantastic wineyard, We spent three hours tasting wine and discussing wine together with the other visitors.

Extraordinary!

Small quantities, extra-care in wining, creating special flavors and noble white (and also red!) wines!
