Sunset At The Palms Resort

My experience at Sunset at the Palms was fantastic. The top contributor to that is the staff: each and every staff member I encountered was helpful, kind, and good-spirited, and the service was just perfection. Special shout outs to Kirk and Linton at the bar, Lynette at the gift shop, Damion by the water, and Jason, Venessa, Tamika, and Maria in the dining room.

The resort is on the quieter side - very social, but not a party. Guests are primarily couples, average age around 50s with a good range. There's limited entertainment on site (highlight being the beach party), but it's a $20 cab ride into Negril if you want to seek that out. I was quite content to spend days and evenings on the resort grounds, which were stunning, chatting or holed up on a couch somewhere with a cocktail and a book. Taking in the sunset on the beach is an absolute must.

Good food (selection was limited especially at lunch and would be tricky for vegetarians who want diverse options) and drink. Super-accomodating kitchen.

I have no complaints. Sure, some of the facilities could do with some modernization, but that in no way interfered with the quality of my stay. I would go back in a heartbeat - highly recommend.

The food offerings are very fresh and very flavorful. The buffet is different every day for every meal. The chef is amazing. At the beach the grill offerings are very good, and all is included, along with drinks. The dining areas are beautiful, pristine settings with abondant island atmosphere. The staff is amazing, very friendly and the grounds are well maintained. We have been there twice and can't wait to return!

What a beautiful resort, set among local foliage. From the moment we arrived, my wife and I have felt so welcome. The amazing staff has seen to whatever needs we have voiced.

It is our first trip abroad, as well as the first trip her and I have taken sans kids in 36 years. We are very grateful we chose this slice of paradise for our vacation. We can't wait to come back.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Sunset at the Palms. If you’re looking to really relax and unwind, this is the spot for you. First off, everyone working there was incredibly kind and made the atmosphere really warm and welcoming. The nature and beach were obviously stunning and we couldn’t believe how gorgeous everything was. The food was also reasonably good but the Jamaican dinners were exceptional! A few things to note: the crowd is older and more chill. If you’re looking for the party hotel, this is not it. The nightlife consists of wholesome live music and sitting around a piano singing (we loved that!) There are mosquitos so bring some spray (but it wasn’t that bad) the crickets are loud at night but I didn’t seem to mind them much but if you’re sensitive bring earplugs. I honestly could not recommend this place enough though, it was truly an oasis and I miss the sunshine already!!!

If you are into large hotels with music and craziness this is not the place. If you are into quaint and beautiful landscape and some car noise and a quick jaunt across the busy road for the beach… with an amazing crossing guard this is the place. The grounds are gorgeous and the beach is clean and gorgeous! Such a chill romantic place. A definite return spot for me!! I have also never been to Jamaica my very first time and it did not disappoint.

Absolutely gorgeous in every way. The staff recognized us and greeted us by name from the front desk, wait staff to the groundskeepers and security. The beach was so convenient and clean and best yet private. The bars and restaurants were all easy to get in and order. The smiles of the staff were enough to make me want to go back. The food was amazing and perfectly portioned. The rooms were airy and spacious and so very fun.

This resort has been my best all inclusive stay to date. The rooms were quaint and very private. You feel connected to nature. Service was very personalized as the staff knew the names of guests. We felt very welcome here.

This hotel was very beautiful and the treehouse rooms are extremely spacious and relaxing. This hotel isn't a party spot by any means, so if you're looking to relax and be pampered, this is it. There isn't much entertainment at night as it's more of a romantic/ r&r spot. The staff are extremely friendly and are always there to help make special arrangements and arrange transportation. Access to the private beach is great and the water is extremely calm with the best sensets, a good switch up from the crowds are seven Mile. Best of both worlds really. The rooms have their own private balcony looking on to the flora and fona + lots of birds. The grounds are very well kept.

We came celebrating our wedding anniversary and my wife's birthday, we choose a different location every year. This was our first time to Negril and this was the best we've experienced, the staff was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING,

Great all inclusive resort in Jamica. Beautiful private beach access, bar/food service on the beach. Rooms were very nice and private, however service could be better. We had to call several times to get clean towels. Nice relaxing atmosphere for someone who wants to do no more then sit on the beach or by the pool for vacation.

Just returned from an amazing trip to Jamaica and our choice to stay at The Palms was the perfect choice. The resort is quite, beautiful and well tended to and includes a beautiful private beach along with tranquil gardens.

Amanda with guest relations did an amazing job helping us confirm our details, make spa appointments, etc prior to arrival which was so helpful.

Jason Balfous did an outstanding job taking care of us during our meals with excellent service that went above and beyond.

Clevon Quarrie is an incredibly dedicated employee who took care of the pool like it was his own. His smile and positive demeanor was there everyday of our trip.

The resort is highly recommended and these employees make The Palms even better!

We will be coming back - that’s the highest praise I could give. The beach area is the best - I’ve never spent so long at the beach on vacations but the setup with beachfront bars, restaurants, waiter service etc made us so comfortable all day long. The facilities have been constantly updated - evidence of this everywhere. The on-site resort massage ($200 was tbest coupl massage we’ve ever had. A friendly groundskeeper brought us fresh coconuts one morning for a special treat - a r felt very special.

My new husband and I could not have picked a better place to celebrate our honeymoon. Everything from the food to the service to the impeccable beach was just absolutely perfect. I’ve been telling everyone I know they MUST come here. I have never felt so relaxed and taken care of. If you go, be sure to head to the martini bar to hear Piano Paul play. He is a true artist. My husband and I plan to come back annually to relive this very special time in our lives and to enjoy this gem of a resort.

My wife Janice and I just returned from Sunset at the Palms, we fell in love with the hotel, the people, the service, absolutely loved our time there. I'll start with the resort, it is just beautiful, you feel like your in a jungle, but a meticulously cared for, safe jungle. Linford, the man who cares for the plants and trees is an encyclopedia of knowledge of his work there. He does tours around the property showing the plants. The birds, if you are a bird lover you will be amazed at the amount of birds, especially the beautiful doctor bird, the national bird of Jamaica. My wife even saw parrots. The food, for us the food was outstanding, everyone we talked to was similarly impressed. They will even bring food to you at the beach, or pool. You will not be hungry at this resort, you will probably gain weight. The resort has a very laid back relaxing feel, small enough to be not cramped, you will not have to wait in lines for food, or drinks, ever. We met a lot of wonderful people there, everyone was sharing the same feeling as us, making everyday very enjoyable. The most important to us though were the staff, we met so many wonderful staff, all of them taking great pride in the work they do, and making sure you are well cared for. We had many laughs with them and even developed a special friendship with Damian, he is like part of our family now. He is an amazing guy. Also Kevon, Kevan, with my name being Kevin, that was a lot of laughs. Special mention also to Johanes, the egg guy, he is another hard working, funny nice guy..
We just loved it there, and we will definitely be back. The only part that was disappointing was on our last day, we didn't arrive at the resort until late, almost 10 pm, so we lost our first day, yesterday we had to be out our room at 11:00 am, we were told that we could have a room to get ready, shower and change for our flight home. We were taken to another room, that was clean and ready for guests, we both thought, since we were leaving at 4pm,why could we have just had our room until then, rather than dirtying another clean room, especially since we didn't arrive until late on our first day. Didn't make sense. But it did not ruin a beautiful time at this beautiful resort,we will definitely be back !

The staff was amazing. They are all looking out for you. Quiet cabin in a botanical garden. The food was amazing. We never ate so much good food in one sitting.

Staff at the beach are always looking out for you too and making sure the private beach stays private. Everyone was so friendly.

Beach is right next to the water sports company.

Everyday is a different theme and every night is amazing. You can sit around the piano while Paul plays some excellent songs.

I'll probably forget something here but all around it was an amazing trip. It was our first time out of Canada and we'll go back for sure. In fact, my wife was already checking to book our next vacation at Sunset at the palms.

Beautiful property with lush gardens and exotic plants , great and attentive staff, customer service and food. Best beach on the Negril strip. Just relax and enjoy.

A family member recently visited Negril, Jamaica, where they stayed at Sunset at the Palms Resort. Very quiet resort. Property is lush, well manicured and pretty. Met staff and was treated well. Staff responsive to requests. Of special mention are Concierge/Personal Assistants, Tammi Ann and Sasha Kay at the Front Desk. Positive interactions with Ms. Shannon, Ms. Claudette, Ms. Nareesa, restaurant manager Cornelius, Johannes at the morning Egg Station, and Mr. Lynnford the exquisite and knowledgeable plants concierge. My Thank You to All.

We spent our honeymoon at Sunset at the Palms and it was amazing! While we were there the pool was under construction which was a bummer but the staff really made up for it! My husband threw out his back halfway through our trip and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and check in to see how he was doing. Specifically Lynette and Odine really made sure we were taken care of. Can't wait to come back when the pool is done and we are in full health.

The spacious villas, palm trees and beautiful flowers everywhere, the drinks and bartender was excellent. Thanks to the housekeeper Britney, for providing such an great service i wish that i could have take you along with us but we will definitely be back

We stayed this past week Sunday to Friday morning. It was by far the best experience we've ever had traveling. From the driver to and from the airport to the staff, everything was amazing. Everyone went above and beyond and made our little baby moon very special. The scenery, the beach, the restaurants, everything was fantastic. It was an amazing and unforgettable experience.
