Miss Sonia's Restaurant

Absolutely a memorable place for us. We ate dinner here and Miss Sonia packed us a to go lunch for the trip to the airport. Amazing friend chicken, homemade hand cut fries and great patties!

The food here is great. But for us, what really separates this place from the other is the people. Miss Sonia is so warm, the kids want to visit her. She wants to take care of you by cooking a home cooked meal. Harry and the grand daughter are also lovely people. Harry cares about his patrons as much as making a perfect dish. Reasonable prices. A must visit in our view.

This is such a great little family-run restaurant! Everything they make is cooked with love, and seasoned to absolute perfection. The staff are all incredibly friendly and welcoming ❤

Over the course of several visits, we tried 6 different dishes and everything was fantastic. Highly recommend the fried chicken. It just might be the best we've ever had!! We also had the conch, oxtail, stew beef, rasta pasta and jerk chicken - all of which were phenomenal. Harry's homemade jerk sauce is absolutely deeee-lish. You can even buy it bottled to take with you for when you feel like a taste of Jamaica at home.

Definitely worth stopping in at this place if you're in Negril. You won't regret it!

We get every morning a fresh good coffee there( also at 6 o'clock 😀 ). We had some good talks to her and she had everytime a friendly word for us. The whole family was everytime very nice with us and DON'T forget to ask for fresh PATTY 😀

Miss Sonia and her family were truly a pleasure to meet, we were so grateful they took us in late in the evening for a meal and it was beyond delicious! Came back the following day to eat there again. The patties are out of this world! Love love love miss Sonias!

This is a family owned restaurant that serves a variety of Jamaican dishes including a large selection of vegetarian options that are reasonably priced. I had the Ital stew and it was delicious. My meal was prepared to order and was hearty and well seasoned. The owner/chef/server was courteous and professional. The house made pepper sauce was a great addition. There was ample parking just outside the restaurant. I would definitely dine here again.

Best patties I’ve ever had! I know every restaurant claims that, but Sonia’s actually does have incredible patties. We had ackee, curried chicken and callaloo. They are stuffed to the brim, about twice the size of a regular patty and super tasty. Make sure to get their homemade jerk sauce on the side. Spectacular!

This is what we are talking about! Best food we have had so far. These Pattie’s are huge and amazing!!! Veggie curry is so good! Rice and peas are fresh!!! Miss Sonia is so sweet and authentic. Her grandson harry makes the food and has such a great, kind energy.

The most amazing food. You feel like you've gone home to family. Cooked to order & perfect. So welcoming. Grandson Harry makes & bottles jerk sauce & secret sauce to buy and is also a fabulous chef. Great granddaughter makes the most delicious dark ginger cake & almond/coconut pastry tart 😋

Miss Sonia and her grand son are real chefs. Everything is delicious and fresh. Best patties, jerk and fried chicken and Veggie stew.

What a wonderful experience! Amazing food and service! Miss Sonia is so wonderful! She sat down with us after our meal while we waited for the rain to pass and shared so many great stories with us. I had the curry chicken and it was delicious. Miss Sonia also made a special vegan dish for my wife. You get a lot of food for a good price. Excellent home cooked meal!

We stopped in for dinner on our last night in Jamaica, and we are glad we did. Terrific food, wonderful people and an all around great evening. We enjoyed a tasty dinner prepared by Miss Sonia's fine grandson. After eating a terrific meal, Miss Sonia sat and chatted with us for half an hour. We are so thankful to have stumbled upon Miss Sonia's fabulous restaurant, and will be back next time.

We visited a couple of times at the end of November 2023 and the patties were so good, I hope we're able to go back one day!!

A fantastic spot off the bustle of the beach. Cash only (for now 7/23) but worth finding the one functional ABM/ATM to go here. Miss Sonia makes the best hand pies and her grandson is a great cook and has fantastic jerk sauce.
