Jose is a very good school, 5 star for the dean of Discipline and security, also good and hardworking teachers, plus different career choices and skill

This school helped greatly in teaching it's students some of life's most important lessons. Such as putting God first before everything. Remembered, having devotions every morning first an foremost in our general assembly. And it was always the students leading out in these devotions each morning. This fostered good spiritual stability for all, and good leadership skills.
I learnt several skills, such as; Auto Mechanics, Technical Drawing, Home Economics,etc. These all play a major role in my daily life today. Respect and good moral principles was a must at this school, and we know that these two traits, take anyone around the world. The list of benefits from this school goes on and on for me... Am thankful to God for blessing me to have being apart of this wonderful school. I pray that Jose Marti Technical High School will continue to strive for excellence with God at its helm. My respect to Mr. O'Connor (principal), Mr. Node(Auto Mechanics), Mrs Facey(Home Economics), K'dee McNeil(Head Girl), Diana Wright, Mr Otis Brown (Head Boy), and many many more. Love to all...

I was fortunate to visit this school in March, 2016.

It was certainly an eye-opener to observe how teachers in a Jamaican school strive to get the best out of their pupils. And the pupils also wanting to make a difference...

The Art dept, the Cookery class and the Spanish lesson were definitely worthy of our time. We saw some cool artwork, very creative menus for some tasty dishes which came with a delicious drink (!) and a certain Señor Pastor Cruz winning the battle to teach Jamaican kids how to speak a limited level of Spanish, given the difficulties of the subject matter.

The 6th form ( year 12/13..?) pupil who sang to us impressed me with his ability to sing in another language, that being Spanish! Muy bien hecho..!

Researching this school to write a report for my school, I was unable to find enough info on the origins of Jose Marti Technical High school.
Can anyone guide me in the right direction..?
Can anyone let me know when the school was founded?

I sincerely hope the pupils of Jose Marti Technical High school go on the make a difference in the world of tomorrow.

Jamaica has a bright future coming out of J.M.T.H.S.
