When you arrive at Hikone Station, you can smell the good aroma of coffee roasting.
You will be served a delicious coffee with no cloying taste. If you have time to wait for the train, stop by. You will enjoy a delicious cup of coffee.

A nice little coffee shop with some decent coffee. Don't come here expecting quick service as they only have one person behind the counter and there can sometimes be a a few people.

The menu is in both Japanese and English so it makes it very easy for tourist to order. Loved the jazz they were playing out of the 2nd or 3rd gen iPod. It's a perfect spot to relax and get coffee and check your emails before hopping on a train.

What an unexpected find in a small Japanese town. Usually cafe next to stations are commercial trash, but this arty hipster little cafe actually had one of the best Lattes I have had in Japan. Cool little arts and craft for display and sale as well.

I visited Hikone this weekend and I tried to look for a unique cafe around the area. This cafe is located just outside Hikone station. I tried their Strawberry Affogato and it was really good. They also sell some cute stuffs like bags, pins, pillows and hair accessories.

Atmosphere, professionalism, sophistication, flavour of the product - this place has it all. The mood, lighting, decor and music (very laid back) are delightful. Then there's the coffee. Have it how you like, but simple drip filter coffee, black, no sugar - so far from how I usually have my coffee with milk and sugar, but the exquisite flavours here make it a crime to add anything. Hands down one of the best coffee shops I have ever entered. By the way, coffee 'stand' might suggest a windy street corner, but this is an intimate and cosy nook. It would be worth the train fare from Kyoto or Osaka to experience this place.

Best iced latte I've had in months. Smallish size, creamy milk, and strong but balanced and flat out delicious coffee flavor.

Best espresso I’ve tried in Japan. The owner clearly takes a lot of pride and care in his craft. If I were staying in Hikone longer I’d be there every day.

可愛いネコさんのイラストが目印の、彦根駅に直結しているコーヒーショップです。
入店すると、野間口徹さん似のオーナーが迎えてくれます(^^)。
自家焙煎をされているので、タイミングによっては彦根駅のホームに降り立った瞬間からいい香りがします。
香りにつられて入店しましょう(^^)。
コーヒーは本当にどれも美味しいのでハズレはありません。安心してください(^^)。
店内にはオリジナル商品や雑貨も置いてありますので、電車待ち時間の短時間でも是非覗いてみてください。
コーヒーのテイクアウトも出来ますよ(^^)

店内は猫がいっぱい。
モーニングがわりにチョコのスコーンとアプレッソ(アップルジュース＋エスプレッソ)を注文。
スコーンはまあ普通。
アプレッソがめちゃくちゃおいしかった。
甘酸っぱいアップルジュースと苦いエスプレッソの相性が抜群でじぶんちでも作りたくなった。アップルジュース以外に相性のいいものを自分で探すのも面白そう。
とにかくアプレッソがおいしかったので★5にしました。
