Choshu Horikazu Tattoo Studio

I was able to finish my piece in his Home Studio after four Sessions in Europe. Maybe or surely one of the best tattoo Artists when it comes to tradional japanese tattoo art. Highly recommend

First off I would like to say that Horikazu is an awesome artist and a true Japanese traditional master!!! After researching for some time I found his shop and began the process of getting my first Japanese traditional irezumi work of art. His English interpreter was more than helpful to coordinate any request I had and worked with me to ensure that I received the perfect tattoo. Extreme professionals and very great services provided. Military friendly as well.

Of note their new policy regarding the deposit is because of the increase in customers whom have been missing there appointments with out prior coordination. They are more than accommodating to work with you around your schedule to ensure you can have a great experience. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an awesome Japanese traditional tattoo experience. Good luck in your tattooing adventures. 

First of all, these guys will go through great lengths and look at every detail to make sure you get what you want. They are flexible and can work with your schedule. They are a little expensive, but you get what you pay for. If you do not speak Japanese, that is no problem, there is a very friendly translator on staff. The artist does amazing work with amazing speed. I got the entire outline of my back piece done in just a few hours. I would definitely recommend this studio to friends and go back for more. I did not get it done personally but I've seen that they also do the traditional Japanese style of tattooing as well and the results looks awesome. The artist won best back piece at the London Tattoo Convention a few years ago. If you know what that is you know his reputations speaks for itself. If you are in the Yamaguchi area and want a Traditional Japanese tattoo this is the place to go to.

Horikazu is an amazing and professional tattoo artist. He is one of the best traditional Japanese tattoo artist in Japan. His tattoo studio has a great atmosphere and is pretty much a mini museum containing many tattoo devices and art out for display. I highly recommend this place especially if you want to get a traditional Japanese style tattoo. This place is also very military friendly.

Amazing tattoo experience. I went with my husband and decided to get the traditional cherry blossoms. They are so vibrant and life like. Best tattoo experience ever! I'm a clean freak and the shop was definitely up to my standards!!!! Additionally, they are extremely helpful and work hard to ensure they give you a great experience.

By far the best tattoo artist I've ever had the pleasure of coming across. Does amazing art work, even free hand, and is flexible and talented enough to design anything you need. Would go to him every time if I could! Also, I don't know what this Calvin Young guy is talking about. I've never had to pay to schedule, nor reschedule. And I was stationed in Iwakuni. So if you are military, I don't see why you would have any more difficulty than I or my friends who visited him did

Horikazu-san is one of the best artists I've ever seen. His technical skill is top notch and his artistic vision will bring any tattoo idea you have to reality beyond your greatest expectations! HIs apprentice, Matsumoto-san, is very easy to deal with in all aspects of the artist/client relationship and translates for his master.

I went to Choshu Horikazu to get my existing half sleeve that was done by another artist fixed. He said he had no problem with it.His English translator Souma is fantastic he is reasonably priced and I am more than happy with his work i will defiantly get more work done from him. I recommend him to anyone of my friends.

Horikazu does outstanding work. His reputation is legendary in the MCAS Iwakuni community. If you want a well done traditional Japanese tattoo, this is where you go.

I won't lie, at first i wasn't so sure about this place, but once i arrived and spoke with someone that knew the English language, I knew this was the place. Horikazu art work is amazing. Some of the cleanest lines I've seen to date. I am %100 in love with my quarter sleeve. And i know that the rest of his customers are too.

AMAZING work! I feel honored to have a piece done by him. The master truly is a master. If you are lucky enough to have the opportunity to have a piece by him, take it! My tattoo by the Master is the most perfect thing in the universe.

I saw my friend's tattoo that he received and it was outstanding work. This is the place to go for a Japanese traditional tattoo. I would get my first tattoo here if I ever get the nerve!!!

Awesome linework, can freehand pieces and does the traditional tebori style. I definitely recommend this place.
