An overwhelmingly amazing experience. Was greeted by the friendly staff and sat at a lovely dining area perfect for our group. We were quickly catered to with beverages and our order was taken. Even with a large group and a variety of food requested it came out quickly and beautifully organized. Ambiance was great but the food was amazing!!! Best food in all of Sasebo. They also have a rewards program for people who revisit. If I could give more stars I would. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

2/25/24 update: this restaurant is the place you want to be if you are missing family. Lisa and her family make us feel welcome everyone we enter their restaurant. They always love in our children and always know what they are going to order even before we arrive. We will miss them when we move away.

1/20/22 update: when the COVID has you down and is locking you in for your anniversary, call this restaurant! She made a beautiful spread for my husband and I. So grateful for this memory. Not the same as eating in, but still delicious and the attention to detail was amazing. So fresh and beautiful and savory.

Absolutely love Lisa💜 I've been here three times and her food is always amazing. She's also an incredible hostess always attending to the needs of the patrons. One of my friends who I've gone with has major gluten issues and so she ensures her food is cooked separately and it's delicious as well!

Some of my best memories in Sasebo have been made here. I always look forward to something new and Lisa never lets us down. As long as I am in Sasebo, this will be my go to spot. I continue to find a great environment with wonderful food and the beautiful staff that has some of the best atmosphere around!

I love this place, can’t say enough good things about it. Besides being my favorite authentic Japanese food in Sasebo, also has the friendliest staff around - they always make you feel like you’re at home. Lunch or dinner, both are fantastic here. Also - get the chicken cutlet, it’s the best in Japan 👌🏼

Hanatsuzumi is my favorite restaurant in Sasebo! Their menu has a good variety of different foods. I always try something different and its all delicious. The restaurant can accommodate larger groups, can cater, and offers happy hour deals. The staff is so friendly and offers great service.

Great place to eat! Has a variety of Japanese and western food. The owner speaks fluent English and has English menu. Would be a great source for local information also if you are new to the area.

The best Japanese restuarant I have been to in Sasebo. I have been here for a year and they have such an amazing selection, with all types of foods that taste so well and are delivered quickly. If you are in Sasebo you need to come here!
