This guest house is the best place to stay in Niigata City. I stayed there for 3 nights, the owner was the best person I've ever met. He was so kind to us even though we caused so much trouble to him. I hope he is doing better now. I stayed in a single room and used the bath/shower twice. You can use the kitchen full of appliances to cook your own food. Washing mashine, detergent, shampoo, conditioner, body washer and towels are free to use. There is a cute old lady who come to cleaning everyday. She also always wants to help you and even used Google Translate to help me. Other guests can be a little bit noisy but I think this isn't a big problem considering you're staying in a guest house. The house is old and full of coziness. I wish to be able to stay in there again.

I haven't stayed in this dormitory..but still I'll give it 5 stars I'll tell you why..
I went to Niigataa in the Golden week and my mistake I booked this dormitory for three days and I had already paid the money..
When I reached the Dormitory they said you have booked the dates for the wrong dates..and it was tensed situation for me because I had paid the entire money..anyways..in this dormitory there is one very kind old uncle.. he said you cancel it on your own and funny thing was I was not able to receive the link to disable because the link which was provided to me was made invalid.. I was shocked.. then that old uncle called his manager..there was one lady she spoke to the contractors and she helped me in cancelling the contract and ..guess what on the same day I received my money back... Felt very relieved and all due to their kind help at night around 10Pm due to their kind help.. I appreciate their kindness... That's why 5 stars to this dormitory...

Even though it is not the most luxurious guesthouse we had an amazing time there. The owner is a really friendly and sweet man who made is feel very welcome. There was a very nice vibe in the main room and every night we had a great time talking with other guests. The beds were very comfortable and clean.
There is a complete kitchen so we could cook and save some money during our stay.
They offer bike rentals for 100 yen, it was the perfect way to explore Niigata.
Highly recommended place, we would stay there again if we visit Niigata another time.

The most greatest hostel not only in Niigata but all over Japan. The owner Asama-san is pretty hospitable and staying here is really like home. Amenities are all well-equipped and you could access many nice spots in a very accessible distance, furumachi, bandaibashi and Japan Sea are as such.

Meanwhile, the living room is very stylistic and vintage with very Washitsu (Japanese Room) atmosphere. Staying here is really like home and the accommodation is very affordable, and they also offer special discount for long-term living.

Only two beds per room! I got a room to myself during my stay in mid January, and they provide a space heater within the room. Warm blankets as well.

Perfect place to stay

ドミトリー宿泊で、何回かお世話になりました。
木造の長屋？を泊まれるように改装していて、建物は古いですが、心地よい空間でした。
ドミトリーは、部屋は4.5畳くらいに、二段ベッドと、やや狭いですが十分な広さです。

共用洗濯機は洗剤があり自由に使えます。
共用キッチンは食器、調理用具、ガス水道、レンジに冷蔵庫と揃っています。
お風呂はバスタオル（フェイスタオル？）があります。シャンプー、リンス、ボディソープがありました。

何でも揃っていて、快適でした。
管理人さんが親切でした。
また泊まりたいです。

新潟駅から歩いて30分ほど、
白山駅から25分ほどかかります。バスに乗った方が早いですが、ぶらりと古町を歩くのも楽しかったですね。

気になったことと言えば壁が薄くて隣の部屋の話し声が聞こえるくらいでしょうか。ホテルではないので寛大に受け入れるしかないですね。

2〜3週間の利用でした。
とても居心地が良く延泊をし続けて
しまいました。

バックパッカー的な生活をしており、
他の宿では騒音などで
ほとんど眠れないこともありましたが

こちらのお宿は布団もフカフカで
どのゲストの方も親切だったので
快適に過ごせました。

洗濯も自由にできますし
シャワーのみですが実家のような
安心感がありました。

価格面でも文句なしで星５つです。

1週間1万円と言う記述に驚きました。
仕事で寝るだけでしたので、居心地良かったです。
シャワーだけですが、一般家庭のお家って感じです。
リビングは共用で、キッチンで料理もできます。
パーティーオッケーのところはなかなかないところです。(23:00以降はダメでしたが)
交流もできて、なかなか面白かったですよ。
近場の安い駐車場を教えてくださったので、ありがたいです。
評判のお寿司屋さんにも歩いて15分くらいで行けるので、おすすめ！

昭和の雰囲気、御主人のおおらかな感じ、DIYベッド、必要十分な設備でゆっくりほっこりしました。

最高かつ、素晴らしいです。とても安く泊まることができ、かつ、過ごしやすいです。設備もとてもよくゆっくりのんびり出来ます。とても静かなのでいいです。設備は洗濯も自由に使えて、キッチンも自由に使え料理もできる。男女共用もあればしっかりと別れてもあります。それなりに、人気があるので早めの予約がオススメです。

新潟駅から徒歩圏内で、繁華街へも歩いて行けるお宿です。
高速バスからだと古町か万代シテイどちらからでもアクセス出来ます。急にお宿が必要になった時にも柔軟に対応して頂けますので
おすすめしたいです。

一般家庭を改装したような民家ゲストハウス。
トイレなどの水回りはキレイに改装されているし、共同スペースも使い勝手良く、料金設定も長期滞在タイプがあり、暮らすように過ごすのに快適なお宿でした。

布団がとっても暖かかったです(*^^*)レンタサイクルも100円で一日貸してくれるし、周辺は色々あるし、居心地も家にいるみたいでとてもよかったです！

留学生なども住んでいてとてもアットホームな雰囲気でした！価格も破格で、キッチンも使えて、言うことなしです！

建物は古いですが、きれいに清掃されていて居心地がよかったです。オーナーさんにも良くしていただき、とても楽しく過ごすことができました。

オーナーさんもいい方で
同居人の方も凄い優しい方で、最高でした
ありがとうございました。

田舎のじいちゃんばあちゃんのお家みたいでちょっと懐かしい感じがした。
