Dragon Cafe

I strongly recommend this lovely cafe. The owner is so friendly and accommodating. He has very good English, so if you can’t speak Japanese you can rest assured you will be able to have a chat with this lovely man. He was very happy to accommodate myself and my partners request for vegetarian food. Speaking of the food, it was really good! He had a tomato pasta on the menu, you can tell he had made the sauce from scratch and used fresh ingredients, he even served us with some made bread. The Pasta was perfectly savory, ideal for a chilly day. The atmosphere was so cosy and chill, I strongly recommend this place if you are vegetarian or would just like a relaxed homely vibe as you eat good food and drink nice coffee whilst chatting with a really friendly owner!

Dragon Cafe is fantastic. Our group was warmly welcomed into the cozy space for a delicious dinner of homemade bread, salad, and pasta. If you're going to Zao Onsen, this place is a must.

Amazing lodge within seconds to the lift. The owner was super chill and love music. The lounge/dining area was super cozy and stylish as well. Would love to go stay here again when I come back to Zao!

偶然にスキーに来ていた大学同級生夫婦とご一緒させていただきました。オーナーさんは、山岳ガイドで春夏秋冬の山のことを教えてくれる物知りの方でした。次の機会に行くのが楽しみです。

蔵王マウンテンクラブ内にあるカフェ。ランチのパスタは日によって違いますがシンプルでとても美味しいです。休憩にはホットチョコレートもおススメです。オーナーが山岳ガイドもしているのでそれに合わせて不定期に休み、または留守の時があるので事前に連絡しておいた方がよいかも。

Pasta is always best cooked. Hot chocolate is also delicious. Coffee is illy beans. Make sure you make a reservation.

“Closed”をその場で”Open”にしてくれて迎え入れて下さった親切なオーナーさんありがとうございました。イタリア製の大型のエスプレッソマシンで淹れたコーヒーがとても美味しく、山にまつわる色んな話も聞かせて下さって、つい長居してしまいました。自作のスピーカーからはJazzが流れ、目の前に暖炉がある。騒がしいところからちょっと離れてリラックスできます。

The sign was “Closed” when we visited but the owner kindly turned it to “Open”! There is a big espresso machine from Italy so that we enjoyed great espresso and cappuccino. He shared his experience of when he visited a mountainous area in America and many stories regards to mountains which he is really in to. Enjoying homy atmosphere with Jazz played from the speakers that he made himself and fireplace kept us sitting for hours. If you’re looking for a place where is quieter and you want to relax, this place is highly recommended.

女子スキージャンプワールドカップが行われる蔵王シャンツェへもすぐに行ける穴場のロッジです。

目の前が竜山ゲレンデ！のコージーなロッジ
1階がカフェ、2階が宿泊用のベッドルーム（シャワーブース付き）とトイレになっています。

ご主人の作るお料理は、素材も良く洗練されていてボリュームも丁度いいです。B&Bの朝食とコーヒーも美味しかったです。

カフェ内の暖炉周りで音楽を聴きながら寛ぐのも、心にチャージできるひとときでした〜^ ^
