Amazing experience to learn about Mazda! Seeing the 787B that won the 1991 LeMans was definitely a highlight. I highly recommend this if you’re visiting Hiroshima. Make sure to book a reservation in advance or else you won’t be able to do the tour! (free entry as well)

Really enjoyed our visit to the Museum today. We hadn't booked the tour but walked in and were allowed to join the next English tour 50 mins later. But I suggest you book first as we just got lucky. The assembly line alone is well worth the visit, so cool to see!

Cool experience for anyone interested in Mazda as a brand or car manufacturing in general.

Free tour offered in English; you just have to sign up through their website in advance (sign-ups open 30 days before the desired tour date).

The museum was neat to see display models (some of which you can interact with/try out, others are interesting for historical significance - like the Mazda 787B Le Mans 1991 championship vehicle).

Our favourite part was getting to walk the factory floor and see vehicles being assembled behind the scenes (just a heads up: no photos allowed for that portion of the tour though).

The gift shop was cute and had some limited edition Mazda keepsakes/accessories, but it was a lot smaller than we were expecting.

Would definitely recommend if you are in Hiroshima and at all curious about Mazda!

We had an amazing time on the tour! Be sure to book them at least a month in advance. The museum is excellent and seeing the production facility was very interesting! The staff are also very knowledgeable and friendly.

It was a free tour, so very impressive for 2 hours of entertainment! The best part was seeing the factory line and the cars being made. You can't take photos there, so just trust me! The guide spoke good English. There's a free carpark. Make sure to book your tour in advance online.

As a Mazada owner, this was a pilgrimage for us. The tour must be prebooked, and it is a straightforward process. The tour was full even on a weekday in winter. We caught a bus from central Hiroshima station it took about 30 minutes. You can also get a train. The reception area has cars, a photo booth and some displays as well as a cafe. The tour will take a full two hours. There was a guide and two other mazada employees who accompanied you on the tour of about 40 people. I can not emphasize how wonderful these people were who hosted us. They were warm and interesting and were a highlight for this tour. During the busride she explained the sites and we understood how big the maxada operation is own water & power plant and bridge! The museum has a small shop with a limited range of products. I would like to suggest they extend the range of products available to mazda fans here. It was pricey but worth it. I purchased a keyring and charm for my Mazda and would have brought more if it had been available. The museum itself is world class the displays are accessible and engaging. The highlight of the tour was the final part viewing the production line. If you love cars and especially if you are a mazda drive this is a must do, even if you are not interested in motoring it is a great experience for the whole family.

Great place to visit for motor heads, especially being a free tour. Get to see a lot of the classic Mazda vehicles and some of the iconic Motorsport heritage vehicles. Seeing the assembly line was awesome and some of the new concept cars. There is a small gift shop within the museum, but does not hold much stock of all Mazda models. You will have to book in advance to view the museum/tour

We were unable to book an English speaking tour, but the Japanese tour in the morning was available! I regret nothing! Even though the tour guides did not know much English, they went out of their way to communicate with us and start conversations. With the help of our translation app and the very basic Japanese that I know, we had an AMAZING time! All the exhibits have English translation l, so you won’t miss much if you can’t get into the English tour. I recommend this tour 100%! I am very grateful to the Mazda employees that made us feel so welcome!

We had a wonderful tour. We learned a lot about Mazda's history and origins. We also visited the assembly plant and saw how the cars are made. Our guide Mr Kanaguchi was very helpful and attentive. He answered all our questions and took good care of us. We give him five stars and a big thumbs up!

We visited the Mazda museum recently as part of our Hiroshima visit, and we loved it! The guide was enthusiastic and passionate about Mazda, and expertly guided the group through the museum. The level of information and length of the trip was perfect - we found all the areas very interesting. Contrary to other reviewers, we found the level of information and detail perfect.

It was great to learn about the origins of Mazda. It really feels like a huge part of Hiroshima and it’s history, something I didn’t know much about prior to my visit.

I'm not a car person but my husband loves Mazda so we wanted to do the tour. It is free, you just need to reserve in advance. You meet at the Mazda headquarters and take a bus ride to the actual museum. They talk about the history of Mazda, the design, and the future they hope to continue with the company. Our favorite part was seeing the production line. This is the only portion where you can't take photos. It was very interesting to see the different cars in stages of production. A great experience!

Very interesting and detailed 2-hour tour. Free! The guide was very accommodating as we did not have reservations. Lucky there was room for us. You should reserve ahead of time to secure your spot.

We visited the Mazda Museum in Hiroshima recently and were thrilled with this free tour. The tour can be arranged online at the Madza website and they respond very quickly confirming date and time.

We arrived by train and walked to the headquarters from which the tour departs. Upon entering the reception area, the friendly tour guide greeted us, confirmed our attendance and asked us to wear the Madza tour lanyard. We were advised that free lockers were at available to leave our belongings. We were allowed to walk around the show room, photograph the cars, open and sit in the cars!

At the allotted time, all tour participants boarded a bus to take us across the huge Madza site to the Museum. Along the journey, the English speaking tour guide pointed out various facilities including their own hospital, Powerplant, port, fire station and worker dormitories.

The museum foyer contains Mazda’s current range of cars and a very small gift shop. The only negative in the whole experience was the gift shop. The gift shop contains a very limited and highly priced items. The only cheap trinket was a plastic key ring.

The tour was guided to the second floor where a history lesson on how Madza started began. The range of cars is extensive and impressive, including family vehicles and racing cars. Instagram worthy!

The unexpected part of this tour was the viewing of the manufacturing line from the gantry. What a thrill seeing the moving assembly line, with robots and workers manufacturing multiple Madza models.

Upon returning to the museum, we were escorted to vehicle safety, modelling, design and shown their new concept cars.

For a car enthusiast, it was a fantastic tour of the museum, the manufacturing plant and Mazda’s site. Highly recommended if in Hiroshima!

Very educational tour. Good insight into how a car is built and workers working efficiently with the help of robotic arms and modern production line for cars. Must see if given the opportunity.

Cool museum didn't expect to see the production line so it was a great surprise particularly for a free thing. Came to see the RX-7 and the Le Mans car and left happy.

The museum is a bit Mazda propaganda oriented but understandable because you don't pay.

I honestly wish I could give them six stars… The team at Mazda was so unbelievably helpful and welcoming, and you could feel everyone’s passion for the company and the museum. The museum itself is beautifully laid out and they have some amazing classic and modern Mazdas on display. This is an absolute must-see if you’re near Hiroshima, but definitely reserve a spot ahead of time. They book out!

Great experience if you’re in Hiroshima or worth a day trip if you’re close. It’s two hours and does a thorough recap of Mazda’s history. The assembly line is also very cool to see.

Brilliant free tour , they are very detailed unbelievable that it's a free tour they take you on a bus around their private site and show you the different aspects of the area and their private docks and bridge as well as the main museum and you get to see cars actually being built ! It's a shame that even Mazda don't have a 323GTR familia in their own museum but can't hold that against them. Remember to book online !

The factory tour is an amazing experience if you ever wrenched on your own car, especially if it's a Miata. The museum has a few amazingly preserved MX-5s and RX-7s, as well as the 787B. And then they let you watch a real assembly line where all Miatas are built!
