Very serene place to visit, and lots of parking and toilets. I had so much fun playing with the local monastery cat, he's so friendly.

Great tranquil spot. If it’s your first time do pay to get access to everything. The garden is really worth it, specially when the weather is nice for a day out.

This is an excellent place to admire the fall leaves. Entry to the temple was 400 yen, to simply admire the gardens was 100 yen. It was well worth it to admire the inside of the temple and see the beautiful art. Parking can be a bit hectic, so it’s advisable to carpool or take public transport if possible.

Incredible temple and shrine. The koyo and the huge maple tree is absolutely at its beautiful peak !!!
Koyo season is out this year in all over Japan due to the weather.
But this old maple trees finally gave me the autumn color feels ^^
The temple houses an old 18 hand Avalokistera Buddha and considered to be a national treasure.
You cant take any photo but if you buy a ticket you can enter the inner temple and see the statue.
It was crafted beautifully.

Visiting this temple any time during the year is beautiful. Super impressed with the whole experience here and would come back more often if I could. It’s one of best Buddhist temples I have visited in Kyushu.

A wonderful place to visit and enjoy. In the temple's main building you can expect a short history tour of the temple complex given by one of the priests.

Amazing temple nestled in Mount Raizan. When we visited, most of the trees were in their autumn peak. Magnificent!

A place of tranquility and mindfulness. The monks are friendly and let you in to see rooms inside. This temple is famous for its statues and beautiful trees.

Absolutely beautiful temple, a LOT of history here which is explained to you in Japanese (日本語) so understanding is a must if you want the most, though you can still have a wonderful experience if you don't, just remember dozo means please, and usually used in the context of please sit or please follow/go

Beautiful and serene Buddhist temple with well-curated garden. Known for its 500 statues of Buddha's disciples.

Had an amazing experience here at New Year when people were coming for their blessings and we were allowed to sit in on the ceremony. The Kannon statue was huge, unique, and awe-inspiring. The gardens and grounds are also beautiful. When I read other reviews about the traffic jams in fall it makes me so annoyed … beauty can be found here at all times of the year, so don't spoil it by contributing to overtourism at peak Instagram seasons!

What a peaceful temple with trees all over the place which adds beauty to the view. The walk to the garden is an amazing experience.

It's the best buddist temple that i've visited in itoshima , also today we did all the route into it and some monk give us blessings.

Absolutely amazing. I went during a quite period so I'd recommend going after around 1pm. Very peaceful and there were some amazing sites. Exploring the area around it is well worth it too.

Worth for visiting, entrance fee is just400yen , especially when autumn time (I visited on Nov15,2022) the giant maple’s leaves fell out about 1/3 but another maple trees in temple still red orange and yellow, so beautiful

From Hakata Station take about 47 minutes drive. The place is wonderful. The shrine is located along the mountain of Raizan. Famous with its autumn view and its 400 Years history of Architecture.
