Hakone-en Aquarium

I got to feed an otter and honestly it is one of my favorite things from my trip to Japan so far! the aquarium is small, but was a great way to kill some time before our boat cruise. It was very affordable and getting to feed an otter was so much fun!

Hundreds of types of fishes, Tiger fish, clown fish, crabs, salamander, jelly fish, turtle, and may sea creatures. There is a seal show around 15 mins. Beautiful scenery all around. There is a small shopping store with hundreds of souvenirs to take back including wooden carved paintings and special lock puzzle and candies.
Small Due to high winds, ropeway may be closed and you may get a chance to view the aquarium.

very few people in this area due to snow, but very interesting aquarium has a lot of fish, hood for children

Lots of creatures from seas, lakes and rivers. At the small zoo near the aquarium, you can touch dogs, cats and other animals and birds.

The garden eels were creepy. I got to hold hands with an otter!

It's decently priced and has a wide variety of animals. My husband and I went by ourselves and enjoyed it. It's nicely located right in the middle of shops and other attractions.

Kids love the places

it doesn't look big outside but once you get in is hugh and lots of species of fishes
