The pick up and return location is different, make sure you get it right if you are using the GPS to navigate.

Great car rental experience. We picked up in Shizuoka and returned in Odawara.

Booked a C3 class car a few months in advance for a trip to Hakone and surrounds.
The whole process was smooth and easy, and additional options such as insurance and ETC all fairly priced.
Corolla Touring Hybrid was excellent on fuel and large enough for 3 adults plus 3 large suitcases and backpacks.
Service was excellent and we had no issues whatsoever.
We didn't need to contact them for anything during the rental, but they provide a phone number - this may be a bit tricky for visitors as most people only have data sims which can't make phone calls.

Could not rent from them but 5 star review because the staff were really kind and tried their best. I agree with the two Italian reviews about the international driving license, in the sense that I arrived with valid international papers, however I am giving 5 stars for the amazing service provided. Japan has his own exceptions and rules and it's a matter of international law, a translated Japan license is needed beforehand and it's down to the user renting to look this up. My country (Switzerland) issued what they said was valid in Japan but it looks like you need a Japanese paper too. Toyota could be a bit more thorough in their confirmation emails, maybe with a comprehensive link to all the necessary papers.
This said, the staff were so polite and apologetic and spent a huge amount of time trying to help us out, even with a translator colleague on the phone line. They even called the road office for us, asked them how long it would take to translate our international license etc

We did not rent and they didn't charge us, which is also admirable, given the usual scammy rental car experiences. So we are very grateful and compliment you on your ethics and great service.

I had rented a mid range car for just 24 hours. Everythjng was done quicklh whereby they photocopy my passport, local driver license plus internatjonal permit..please note that your international permit has to be in English. If it isnt, they cant rent u the car. Its the rules and jts up to consumer to find out before.booking a car.
The corolla i got was clean and well maintained. A little small.but i opted for a smaller car with a decent size 1200 to 1400cc engine to handle the climb up to Gora.
Got the ETC card to help with the tolls which will be charged seperately end of the rental period
.also get the full comprehensive insurance.for peace of mind. Car had reverse cam, keyless entry and engine start stop.. it was nifty enough
Cost was 12100 yen plus 1830 for tolls.and i spent 2300 or so for fuel top up.
Thanks toyota,if ever there is a next time..i will get frim you again!!

Desde la web (en inglés) la reserva ha sido muy fácil y transparente, explicando los seguros que puedes añadir de forma muy clara.

En la tienda, los trabajadores hablan muy bien inglés y te explican todo de forma muy clara.

Además llegamos un poco más tarde de la hora de cierre debido a inmenso tráfico que había, y tras hablar con ellos por teléfono, nos estuvieron esperando.

Muy recomendable para hacer una ruta para ver el monte Fuji y sus alrededores.

返却翌日、忘れ物の問い合わせをしたところ、念のためにと再度車内を確認してくださいました。
無事に手元に戻ってきて嬉しかったです。
