Niigata Airport (KIJ)

Niigata International Airport is undeniably at an incredibly convenient location! As a Niigata native living in New York, I've flown the JFK-PuDong, China-Niigata route via China Eastern Air several times in recent years to visit my family. Surprisingly, this route is almost as fast as flying through JFK-Tokyo-Niigata, owing to the airport's small size. The compact facility provides a significant advantage, resulting in shorter waiting times at check-in counters, security, immigration, and baggage claim. Unlike larger international airports, there's no need to arrive three hours in advance; even arriving two or one hour before departure is sufficient.

Moreover, the airfare of China Eastern Air is less than half of what Japanese carriers charge, making it a budget-friendly option. Additionally, other major airlines offer direct flights to Niigata from Seoul, Hong Kong, and Harbin, and obtaining tickets for Niigata airport is a breeze, with available seats usually easy to find.

Niigata airport boasts another advantage - its proximity to Tokyo. A short 20-minute shuttle bus or taxi ride connects the airport to the center of Niigata city, and from there, Tokyo is just a swift 2-hour Shinkansen journey away. In comparison, traveling from Narita airport to Tokyo takes one hour, and from Haneda, it takes 30 minutes, plus additional waiting times of about an hour.

If you're looking to save money and explore a less-known route during the Tokyo Olympics, consider spending a night in Niigata and taking an early morning Shinkansen to Tokyo. This lesser-known route can be a great way to experience both cities while enjoying the convenience and cost savings it offers.

We took the first direct flight from HK and received a warm welcome there. The airport is small but clean and spacious. The souvenir shop had a variety of products.

It's mind-blowing airport. International and domestic flights are easily arranged. The office for immigration is located at this airport.

A small, quiet and modern airport with good bus access.

Not so crowded. It has a immigration office here.

Best little Hometown airport in Japan.

空港の成り立ちの紹介コーナーも興味深く見せてもらいました。

地方空港としては綺麗な空港です。新潟駅まで直行便のバスもあるので便利かと思います。交通系IC使えますよ

国際線、国内線ともに
コンパクトにまとまっていて
とても使いやすい空港です。

駐車場🅿は空港の真ん前にあって楽ちん。
1日終日800円、長期と買物割引もあります。
(確か空港内指定ショップで1,000円以上買物等)

空港スタッフは税関もチェックインフォローも
手荷物検査場も全ての人々が親切で丁寧です。

特に日本海側に住んでいる
子どもが小さくて荷物が多いとか
抱っこおんぶがある時期の国際線。

成田羽田に出るための
乗物乗換の長い通路多い階段より

新潟→ソウル経由の乗換えで
総じて安い早い負担軽いと判断できた場合は
新潟空港発着を利用して来ました。
車に乗ってドン！と飛行機✈搭乗ですからね。

あとは寒い時期の国際線で
雪の笹谷峠越えをする仙台空港発着よりは

道がフラットで雪が少ない海岸線
新新バイパス、高速道路など
道路の選択肢が多く

高速道路料金も仙台往復7,000円と
新潟往復1400円で
約5分の1ほどになる比較も
決め手のひとつです。

関西入りの場合も

庄内空港は羽田乗換となって
時間もお金もかかるので
宿泊費も含めて好い予定が立てば

直行便がある新潟空港発着を利用します。

此空港為新潟縣唯一的空港
大部分航班都是國內線
目前只有韓國航空與虎航每週各一班的國際線
空港結構不大
一樓左右邊分別為國內國際報到處
中間夾有一家便利商店一家飲料店跟廁所
二樓兩側是國內國際出關處
國內線後方有一家餐廳跟一家新潟土產店
國際線出關處旁有一排轉蛋機跟空港歷史介紹
三樓則是兩間餐廳
請注意各家店面的關門時間
因為通常都很早

新穎的機場建築，國內線為主，國際線為輔。國際線一次一台飛機起降，所以通關速度非常快。出來機場大廳大門右邊就是新潟機場至新潟車站的巴士，車票470円，20-30分鐘就到達新潟車站

かなりお土産やさんも、喫茶コーナーも充実しております。利用者数の割になる広くて清潔感あります。空港内駐車場は、30分まで無料で、それからは100円単位で課金されます。

他の方のクチコミでここが良いと聞いていたので、空港見学ツアー。
確かに素晴らしいです。
旅客利用出来る空港を82か所回りましたが、間違いなく地方空港最高レベルだと思います。とにかく外の鉄骨の重厚さがThe空港という感じで気分が上がり、素晴らしいですね。大事な要素です。海に面しているので眺めが良いですし、空が広い。自衛隊機？などもしょっちゅう離発着するので見学してて楽しいです。

2年半ぶりに訪問。ANAの機内食自販機があるフリースペースが出来てて面白かったです。
屋上にジャングルジムあるのはここだけでは？函館空港はゲームコーナーに木箱のやつがあったような。

微型机场，国际线很少，大多时候国际线柜台和安检是不开的，免税店也小得惊人，比我家的客厅还小。。。

깨끗하고 세븐일레븐 ATM있어요.
무엇보다도 사람들이 너무 친절해요.
국제선 면세점은 소규모 2개상점 뿐이나 로이스와 화장품 등 있어요.
