Bourbon Square

This place is amazing. All the positive reviews are for a reason: the owner is super attentive and makes good recommendations. They have a pretty decent whisky selection, partially focused on Bourbons and Ryes, and the place itself is really nice. Petit, cozy and with a great ambiance. If you're a whisky lover, this is a good place for enjoying a couple of drinks and a pleasant conversation. Trust the reviews, it's the real deal!

Japanese Small Bar. If I ever return to Hiroshima, it would be because of Bourban Square. Awesome Owner, and Awesome Cocktail.

Came in for one drink, stayed for 3 cocktails. Great little bar with cozy atmosphere. Catered well to travelers. Host is very accommodating and gave us a lot of info on local Hiroshima culture and even recommended other places to drink and eat.

Classy cocktail bar with a friendly atmosphere. Masa the owner will recommend a whiskey or cocktail to suit your mood, he certainly knows his whiskey. Reasonably priced drinks. Loved chatting to Masa and Sakurako who work there. Such a lovely evening, totally recommend.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a quieter bar in Hiroshima and came across this place. Masanori the owner makes great drinks and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Great selection of whisky. We hope to be back soon! Highly recommended.

Great bar experience. Maybe not as much because of the drinks but because the bartenders way of treating his customers. We hade really interesting conversations and he gave us some good recommendations for what to eat and where to go for drinks in Hiroshima. The cocktails are fairly simple here, but they taste good. There are some signature cocktails that was a bit different from what I've tasted before.

A small bar with a great heart. Masanori has good English and is a good host to spend time with. He has a great range of whiskey and other spirits and a great knowledge of his products. He also makes a mean cocktail. Ask him about his signature cocktail, “the Hiroshima”. We had a great night here, and I am sure you will too.

Wonderfully cozy bar. Knowledgeable, friendly bartender and a great variety of whiskey and bourbon. Nice jazz music playing. Loved the unique cocktail I got, a citrusy take on bourbon, "Maker's Mark Seal".

The drinks were great and reasonably priced. The owner/bartender spoke very good english. He gave us plenty of local recommendations for things to see, eat and drink. This is a definite stop for your first night in Hiroshima.

Extraordinary cocktails and an incredibly friendly barkeeper with a true passion for whiskey! Definitely one of the best ways to spend your evening in Hiroshima. I especially recommend the home-made coffee-infused vodka cocktail!

We had a lovely time at Bourbon square. Masanori is a great bar tender with some excellent original cocktails (try the one with oba leaf). Speaks fluent English and facilitated great conversations. We highly recommend going to this bar for a good time.

An absolutely amazing experience in Hiroshima. The owner, Masa, introduced us to many of his own creations and takes on drinks, with us being astounded with each one. For someone who doesn't speak Japanese, he was very accommodating and helped us interact with other customers by translating for us.

Having a nice time with a heart warming ginger apple cocktail (hot) followed by the taste of the Hiroshima sea (Lime shochu cocktail).

We loved our visit to Bourbon Square. The bartender made great drinks, and great conversation. We loved Hiroshima overall, so if we're back in the area in future then we'll definitely come back to Bourbon Square.

A hidden gem, well worth 5 stars and more. The bar is cosy with a great selection of whiskey from all over the world, and the bartender we met is very passionate and friendly. If you're not a whiskey connoisseur, you'll leave this bar feeling like one.

One of, if not, the best old fashioned ive had. An original blend of whiskey with dried cranberries. The bartender, Masanori, has a great passion and knowledge of cocktails, particularly whiskeys. Great to meet other travellers. Highly recommended.

The amazing bar tender speaks great English and made amazing fruity cocktails for me while also recommending drinks for my partner. I highly recommend bourbon square.

Very intimate and cosy bar with just a few seats for customers. Drinks were good and recommended by the bartender (also the owner) based on your preferences. Recommended!

Possible the best bar and service I have ever had.
Took the time to get to know us as foreigners and engage and talk about culture with us and when needed translate for the other patrons.
I can not recommend this bar enough.
