Hakone Tokinoshizuku

Rooms are huge! Tatami style and love the private onsen. Service is beyond excellent. Location is far from town. If you don't drive, you should stock up on snacks before you check in. They offer shuttle service to pick up and drop off at nearest train station. Highly recommend for couples.

Can't recommend enough! The service is incredible, and the private bath + balcony was one of the highlights of our Japan trip. The five-course meals served in our room really blew us away. Want to give a special shout out to our servers Kai and Remy. It was great chatting with them throughout the night. Thank you for the experience!

The service here is excellent from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. We loved the onsen on the balcony and the really excellent multi course in-room meals (breakfast and dinner). There is a shuttle bus that will pick you up and take you to the train/bus stations etc. The Hakone Open Air Museum is closely. The owner makes his own soba daily and it is very good. The rooms need some renovation, but are large and comfortable. Recommended.

We ended up staying in the grand suite room 605, La Romanee. The room is absolutely beautiful and pristinely clean. There were a couple of beetles that snuck in the room, but they left you alone and kept to themselves. It is to be expected with the sliding doors allowing easy access to the private bath outside. The view is breathtaking and the baths run 24/7, allowing you to take a dip whenever you see fit. Additionally, the staff is very sweet and accommodating. We were able to use Google Translate to make up for any language barrier we had, and all our needs were met and expectations exceeded. If I come back to Japan I would make time to stay here specifically again.

Everything was perfect, what a delight to spend the day hiking around the mount Fuji and Ashi lake and come back to the hotel with the private onsen to rest. Without even talking about the kaiseki which was incredible and made us test typical japanese specialities.
The staff was very kind and found a solution of each question or problem.

Definetly the best place I’ve been in Japan. This ryokan is a dream, it’s perfection. We stayed in a massive room with private onsen during a rainy and foggy day. It was just the perfect weather for an onsen session.

Special mention to Remi, who was our assistant and helped us a lot. Before my arrival I lost my bag at the shinkansen and Remi managed to find it for me calling to the train station, I couldn’t be more thankful to her. Besides that, she was friendly, spoke good English, and is extremely well organised. She also made us a list of trains to catch for us at the next day, so we would arrive on time to our next destination. Without her we would have been lost. She made our experience just perfect.

We had a great stay here, in room 301, which was the only room on our floor, giving us a lot of peace and privacy. Admittedly, they should maintain it a little bit better, there were some small things that should've been fixed, but they didn't ruin our mood. The atmosphere is beautiful, the bath on the balcony was a special experience, the room was spacious, the dinner was delicious, and the Western breakfast in the privacy of our own room was great. And the staff was very kind and helpful, and did their best to communicate in English.

Amazing experience! There's a bus stop 10 minutes away. The service was amazing!

The room was spacious and clean. The in room outdoor onsen was very nice and had a beautiful view. The staff was very polite and the service was excellent. We stayed there for two nights. Dinners for both nights were seafood kaiseki ryori. The dinners were excellent. The presentation, quality, choices of dishes were superb. The in room breakfast was awesome!

Artistic tableware with exceptional food and presentation.
Good choice of wine and sake.
Although is kind of fusions Japanese food but I have enjoy it very much.
Suite with open air bath relax myself even more.

この度、友人とコーナースィートを利用しましたが、景観と設備も大変良く、お食事は、食材も吟味されており、フルコースで、量も多かったのですが、ヘルシーで大変美味しくいただきました。室内風呂も柔らかい湯質と温度が良く、何度も入りました。
スタッフも若い方ですが、笑顔を絶やす事なく、私達のリクエストにも快く対応して頂き、ホスピタリティも大変素晴らしかったです。
今回の旅は癒しの旅になりました。
また、利用したいと思ってます。

景色も料理も最高です。
コロナ禍なので部屋食なのは○
蕎麦おかわりしたかったなぁ…
他の部屋の人とも合わないのでほんとにゆっくり出来ます。

部屋風呂は湯量が少ないですが源泉掛け流し。
少し古さを感じるようになってきたので
修繕されてはどうでしょうか、、、エアコンもガタガタうるさかった。

最寄駅へのベンツのバンの送り迎え、親切で細やかなコンシェルジュ、綺麗で広い部屋、ウェルカムドリンクに1人1小瓶のシャンパンと長野のブランド焼芋などなどチェックインして部屋に入ってから気分のいいサービスであった。

○部屋
コーナースイートという部屋をとったが、高い割合がバルコニーで、冬に訪れたため使わず、我々にとってはデッドスペースだった。しかしながら眺めは良く、彫刻の森のピカソ館や他の旅館の建物を展望できる高い位置にあった。秋などの紅葉の季節なら物凄く綺麗だほう。

○温泉
檜露天風呂が部屋についていて、それがバルコニーと通じていたため(もちろん外からは見えないようなつくり)冬の冷気にあたりながら暖かい温泉に入るという気持ちの良い体験をすることができた。建物が山上にあり展望はよかった。ただ山は冬の山だったので景色はそこそこだったが、紅葉の秋に行けばよりポイントは高いだろう。
また、隣の建物である武蔵野別館というところの離れという位置付けなので、武蔵野別館の設備や大浴場、露天風呂を利用できる。ZENというコーナーもあり、高性能マッサージチェアに座りながら癒しの音と癒しの空間でリラックスできた。

○料理
ウェルカムドリンク・おつまみ、夕飯、朝食すべて、部屋で完結。担当のコンシェルジュがコースを部屋まで持ってきてくれる。和洋折衷の料理でそれぞれのクオリティが高かったように思う。お酒は色々頼めるが、ほとんどがボトルのワインになり、グラスで頼むとなると物凄く品目が限られてくるのでそこは玉に瑕かなと思った。ただ客室数が少ないので仕方ないかなとも思う。

建物が建ってから10年以上経っているため、外観や一部設備は結構汚く値段に比して高級な感じがせず、そのあたりの維持管理をちゃんとすれば完璧になるのではと思う。

緑に囲まれた広々した露天風呂付きの部屋はとても良いです。美味しい食事、スタッフの方々の笑顔、建物の周りの紅葉や竹等の植栽、隣の武蔵野別館のねぶた祭りの装飾や風車、ひのきのお風呂等々、妻と大学生と高校生の娘、みんな大満足です。真心が伝わってくるようなお宿です。個人的には最近の外資のホテルよりこういう宿の方が好きです。

箱根吟遊の姉妹店 居室からの眺めが良く部屋ごとの露天風呂が楽しめる。自室でのチェック インのあとウエルカムドリンクでシャンパンとカナッペでくつろぐ。絶景スィートではバルセロナチェアーにすわって箱根の山並みを眺めて過ごせることの愉楽をあじわえる。自室での食事は和洋折衷の夕食はローストビーフとクルミ味の蕎麦でしめるという感じ。朝はエッグベネディクトとサラダフルーツ中心の洋食。いささか朝食が少なめではある。テーブルが狭いのがいささか不自由。
大浴場は隣接の武蔵野別館のものがつかえるが敢えてお出かけする意義はさして感じない。
いまの形態での開業からも15年ほどとのこと 少し施設に痛みがあることは事実だが、使用の上での不自由はなかった。
スタッフもしっかりしていた

食事がとても美味しかったです。 朝食も部屋かダイニングが選べ、部屋で窓からの景色を見ながらゆっくり頂けました。大浴場は、隣接の旅館になり、各部屋の露天風呂で充分でした。チェックインもチェックアウトも室内で、のんびり、ゆったり過ごせます。８室しかないお部屋、その宿泊客の為だけに打たれたソバが絶品でした。室内でWi-Fiが使えないのが難点でしたが満足の宿です。

窓からの景色が最高！朝食は部屋でお願いしたところ、ベランダにテーブルを出してセッティングしていただき、とても優雅な時間をすごしました。
武蔵野別館のお風呂にも入る事が出来ました。ありがとうございます。

久しぶりに再訪。
最上階の絶景スイート。箱根外輪山を見渡せて、とても景色が素晴らしい。

お料理、お部屋、温泉 最高でした！
お部屋にミニバーワインセラーもあります。

コロナで夕食もお部屋で食べられたのがラッキーでした。
少しtableが小さかったのでお料理が乗りきれない感じでしたが、とても美味しかったのでOK(笑)

部屋からの絶景も格別です(^-^)/
アメニティも充実してました。

お部屋にある半露天風呂もかけ流しでよかったです。

また是非泊まりたい宿でした。

１日　8組しか泊まることのできない
隠れ家のような宿。
施設に入って驚くのはまずフロントが存在しない。
丁寧な出迎えで荷物を持ってもらい後をついていくと　入り口に係がいるだけで
すぐにエレベーターに乗せられる。
徹底的なお忍び感　もしくは隠れ家感

泊まった部屋の外の景色は山の斜面で
景色の良い部屋ではなかったが
それはそれで隠れ家感が増幅する
山の木々を眺めながら檜の露天風呂に
ゆっくり浸かった。

いよいよ食事の時間
ガラスばりのレストランに出向き
暮れゆく箱根の景色を見ながらスタート
素晴らしい料理がコースで運ばれて来るのだが　終わるまでに二時間から二時間半
かかるのは　覚悟が必要。
こういうのに慣れている外国人客は
なんともなさそうだったが
最後は食べきれなくなってしまって
苦しくなり最後の蕎麦は食べきれなかった。
その反省を活かし
翌日は観光中　なるべく食事を少なくし
二日目の食事に挑んだが
やはり腹がはち切れそうになってしまった。
コース料理の提供時間は
もう少し短くしても良いのかもしれない。

館内には自動販売機等は一切ないことも
注意が必要

特別な時に行く特別な宿
今度は景色の良い部屋に泊まってみたい

部屋からは、箱根外輪山、登山鉄道が見えるとても眺めのいい宿です。コンシェルジュの親切丁寧な対応と美味しい食事、半露天風呂で、ゆっくりできました。
また、紅葉のころに足を伸ばしてみたいと思います。
