Saint Etoile Ryōgoku

This place is an amazing find right next to Ryogoku station. The chicken sandwich, lemon soda and lemon cream donut were all delicious. Great food and friendly staff! Definitely gonna be coming back to try more of the menu before leaving Tokyo!

Saint Etoile Bakery is a fantastic bakery to grab a meal, snacks or dessert at. I stayed at a nearby Hostel and we ended up coming here for breakfast every morning. Everything we tried over the four days we ate here was delicious. Can not recommend this place enough!

When in Japan, you must visit a bakery for breakfast. Saint Etoile is a cosy little bakery with a selection of savoury and sweet choices. Best of all, if you choose to dine in, they can warm the buns up! My go-to would be the fish burger which came as a set menu with an egg salad (very good) and beverage. Bacon was generous in one of the others we tried. The thick cut bread with sunny-side up egg and bacon seems to be popular. What’s more, there’s a sink for you to wash your sticky hands after handling these delights.

Super yummy!! The curry bread is a must have. The donuts are to die for too. The stuff is super friendly as well. Lovely atmosphere and we enjoyed everything we had☺

The best little bakery in all of Tokyo in my opinion! Such a wide variety with very reasonable prices and all of it is delicious! The presentation of it all is on point. It’s a very small and cozy bakery in a quiet corner of the city by the Sumida River, with a few seats available. The staff are so kind and patient. They even offer to warm your food up when you pick it out. I don’t think some of these other reviewers rating it so lowly are eating at the same place I did! It was excellent all around. I loved it and I will be coming back here for breakfast every day that I am staying!!! ❤❤❤

Saint Etoile Ryōgoku is an amazing bakery in Tokyo with delicious treats. Their pastries are top-notch, and the cozy atmosphere makes it a fantastic place to visit! Great staff and great food.

Fantastic little cafe and bakery. We tried a whole bunch of the cakes and pastries. The melonpan croissant was a revelation. Also the breakfast toast set is a bargain and absolutely delicious. Staff were really friendly too

Man, this bakery is so unassumingly good. My go-tos are their giant melon bread, mini-chocolate croissants, and mini-hotdog rolls. You can sit down and eat your pastries in-house as well, which is pleasant. They don't have cakes or anything (which is a shame, this area could use more 喫茶店) but if you're looking for an assortment of standard Japanese pastries/breads, I'd suggest stopping by.
