Himematsu-ya

One of the easiest places to get to after sightseeing at the castle. They brought us an English menu, which helped with a few things we couldn't read. Getting the lowdown on guzoni, a local hot pot dish with mochi, was definitely helpful. I was steered in that direction because I like mochi but don't find many chances to eat it. It came out pretty fast, too.

The guzoni broth was gentle and warming, with a variety of ingredients like fish cake and mushrooms hiding under the mochi. Really satisfying on a cold day. The inari sushi that came with my set was some of the best I've ever had, hitting the right balance of sweet and savory with just enough ginger for a kick without overwhelming the flavor of the tofu.

This restaurant serves the best (gu)zoni I’ve ever eaten. The dashi (broth) is deep and flavorful. The gu part is plentiful, especially when you step up and order their specialty. It’s few steps away from Shimabara Castle which has has a great selection of hidden Christian figures and a a decent history of the last days of the Edo period in Japanese history. This restaurant is worth the effort to get here.

The signature dish is great, soup so good and sweet with all ingredients such as grilled dried fish, tofu, fish sausages come with very fresh vegetables with round moji. price inexpensive at all. friendly staff ;)

Fabulous and delicious Guzoni with over 10 ingredients in the dashi or broth. Get there when it opens as there's usually a crowd of people!

The mochi cake in soup is good

I had deep fried oysters and guzouni (traditional food here with rice cake and some veges in small hot pot). Both are good and reasonable (around 1500 JPY). If you can get table by the window, you will have Shimabara castle view.

Nice place to have lunch after visiting the Shimabara Castle. Try their signature dish. The soup and mochi is great.

具雑煮の出汁はとても美味しく、5個の餅も食べやすかったです。

穴子や胸肉、卵、竹輪、蒲鉾などが入っていてとても食べやすい具雑煮でした。

飽きない味です。

昔から食べられていたと書いてありましたが、昔から変わらない味で、いつ来ても美味しいと思います。

寒ざらしは小さい頃おばあちゃんが作っていた銀水で食べた物とは全く違いました。

寒ざらしの雰囲気を楽しむことは出来ますが、味は全く別物です。

時間があれば是非銀水にも行かれるといいと思います。

昔は、メニューが寒ざらしとラムネだけだったかなぁ。
本当にあのおばあちゃんが生きておられた頃の昭和の話なので、今みたいに観光地化してない時の味を懐かしく思い出します。

ここの姫松屋の具雑煮は、ずっと変わらないで欲しいと思います。

島原はこの具雑煮が有名と聞いていたので、島原城登城の前に立ち寄りました。
具雑煮定食の梅を注文して、一息ついていたらすぐに提供されました。小さめ丸餅が確か5個入っていて、本当に具沢山です。島原の乱で籠城した際に雑煮を作って約3か月戦い、それが具雑煮のはじまり、とメニューに書かれていました。お出汁の味も、お正月のお雑煮と同じ味。美味しくてあっという間に完食しました。

目の前に芸能人のサインが並ぶカウンターに案内して頂き、「どんな味なんだろう…！」と、待つ時間も楽しめました！

パッカーンと熱い1人用土鍋のフタを開けると、色とりどりの具材がひしめいており思わずビックリ！笑
雑煮の概念が覆されましたよ…✨

具材から出汁が出ているおかげで、シンプルなつゆが相性抜群。具材＆つゆ、どちらも主人公だと言わんばかりの美味しい味わいでした♡

ポカポカの具雑煮のおかげで、寒い風でかじかんだ真っ赤な手が温まりました😊

令和６年５月４日午後15：30頃、野母崎から午後３人でお世話になりました。Ｇ．Ｗ．ということもあって、お客さんが多かったですが、この時間には半分くらい席があいていました。名物「具雑煮」を連れの人がたべたいと私は天とじｾｯﾄ、もう一人がカツドンだったかな？皆とワケワケして美味しくいただきました。😋こちらの有名店・郷土料理のお店ということで、近くに広い駐車場もあり、同じ別の店舗もあるようです。具雑煮はお餅が小さ目で食べやすくあっさりぎみで味もよかったです！天とじ丼も美味しく、お店の方のご対応も、忙しいながら丁寧にしていただきました。やはり島原にきたら、島原城→（温泉？）→具雑煮ですね。(⌒∇⌒)　有難うございました。

ร้านขึ้นชื่อเก่าแก่ของเมืองนี้ ต้องทานGuzoni เป็นเหมือนโมจิน้ำซุปอร่อยแต่ติดเค็มไปหน่อย ร้านอยู่ตรงข้ามกับปราสาทชิมาบาระ ที่จอดรถมีหน้าร้านกับหลังร้าน อาหารอร่อยย ราคาไม่แพงมาก

30年ほど前に一度訪れてなんとなしに思い出して友人と具雑煮食べにいきました。
14時頃ついて、ランチタイムを避けたせいか幸いさほど混んでなくすぐに案内されました。
具雑煮の松2500円と竹2000円のどちらにしようか迷いましたが違いが分からず店員さんにお尋ねしたところもずく酢と刺身の内容が少し違うとの事だったので竹をチョイスしました。

小さな丸餅が５個ほど入っており中にはごぼう、竹輪、かまぼこ、鶏肉、ブリ？、穴子？が入っており特に出汁の味に思わず唸ってしまいました。

食後にかんずりを注文
素朴で懐かしい感じで美味しくいただきました。

かなり食べ応えがありお腹も大満足でした。
