Times Car Rental Narita Airport

Upon arriving in Terminal 2, my family went to the Times car rental desk. No one was manning it but there’s a phone connected to its operational depot. We made a call and knew a shuttle would be picking us up at a bus station at the Terminal.
Other than this, everything was smooth-sailing afterwards. We got good value for money!

Everything was easy from the airport shuttle bus to the collection point. The staff were all very friendly, not much issues trying to communicate in simple English. We were given a very new and clean car. 8 days with the car and it brought us to many nice places. Remember to get a ETC card from the counter as it saves time going through tolls. Had such a great time, thank you Times!

Excellent car rental agency! Everything went super smooth, the staff was friendly and we got a fantastic and brand new rental car.
Almost no waiting time, only for the shuttle bus from the terminal to the car rental agency we waited 10 min.

Return process was a matter of 10 min., following an immediate transfer to the terminal.

They also have free WiFi and toilets at the desk.

I highly recommend this agency.

There is a counter for customers in terminal 1 of Narita airport. And you need to take their bus to the office which is a bit outside the airport. It is quite uncomfortable if you have big luggage. The car that I rented was Toyota sienta. The car was good, no problem for the car and the process of car rental.

We hired car from Times car rental and had an amzing experience from start to finish. We stayed in Narita Tobu, Times car rental picked us up from hotel and also dropped us back after we returned the car. The process of collecting the car was smooth and we were handed over Toyota Raize Hybrid car. We drove through the northern alps of Japan and this car was our true carriage. I thank Endo for his assistance and great customer service skills in assigning the car initially. The dropping of car was easy too and the whole experience as I mentioned was effortless. I would definitely recommend all my fellow travelers to hire car from Times when driving in Japan.
PS: Please take ETC card from Times as it is very helpful and for effortless driving through tolls.

Rental opens at 9am and our next flight was domestic to Sapporo. We reached at 8.15am and were panicky having seen an empty office. Luckily for us, a nice lady appeared at 8.30am. We told her about our situation and she was willing to help us. She assured us that we are ok for domestic flight and not to worry. Greatly appreciate her help. Thank you very much !!!! A very good experience, with a slick operation. No hassles, great service. There's a phone in T2 (I guess the same for other terminals) where you call to say you've arrived, they asked us to wait at buss stop 29 in T2 and they picked us up within 10mins. The car pick up and drop off is close to the airport (5 mins) and there is a petrol station just on the other side of the road for fill-up before dropping off the car, there are underpasses allowing you to easily go from one side of the road to the other. We hired the ETC machine for avoiding issue with the pay toll highways, on drop off the presented us with the detailed list of toll charges to pay.

Our experience with Times car rental at Narita was excellent.
We were lucky to find a car at the last moment during a busy season (11 April) and to our surprise the car was brand new (only 12 kilometers on the odometer).
We even increased our booking for 3 extra days via mail and phone, communication was also very good and, the staff assistive.
The Car (Toyota Raize hybrid) as a new car was excellent to drive, and the ETC card for the tolls (provided by Times at a small fee) was very useful and makes the experience much easier.
Since tolls can be expensive if you plan to drive far and in various locations you can pre calculate from google to have a rough estimation of the expected price to pay. Depending on the areas you plan to visit there are also prepaid plans to select that can give you a fixed price for a selected timeframe.

Multiple time on this trip to Japan, I rented from them at different locations . EVERY LOCATION was attentive staff and friendly. I will use them again when I return to travel Japan at a future time. Vehicles were newer and clean and full tank of gas waiting. They offer use of an ETC TOLL CARD. Definitely use it if you will drive but caustion .... the tolls are expensive lol VERY haha

Excellent service, the car was ready and waiting. The staff took the time to explain the vehicle functions and Japanese road rules. Cars are held a short distance from Narita airport making loading easy.

Their service is amazing, person at the airport was so polite and helpful he personally guide us to shuttle bus.
They upgrade our 5 seater to 7 seater and its comfortable and convenience.
We were traveling around the country leasurly
We planning to returning the car tonight rather than tomorrow morning and let me update with that experience too
Not sure if they can drop us at narita train station
We'll spend two more days in tokyo with public transport

The guy at Terminal 2 (May 30th in the morning) is passionate and very willing to help. He can also speak English fluently and clearly.
Next time, for sure I will choose Times Car Rental.

I rented from this place prior to going to TYO it was quick and painless. No hidden fees and the rental was the cheapest but it was more than I needed.

Very good experience with Tomes rental car. The car was new and people very nice.
