Quite big temple and a nice park next to it. Beautiful and peaceful, a walking street near by with plenty choice of restaurants. Can plan 1-2 hours sightseeing here and lunch or dinner. Last minute tourist stuff before flying out from Narita airport.

Such a nice attraction , just 15 mins walk from Narita station. Just walk follow the shop line Omotesando street all the way to the temple. It is one of the best known temples in the Kanto region, dedicated to UNMOVED WISDOM KING 🤴, often called a FIRE GOD 🔥, he is associated with fire rituals.

Environment : As you know cleanliness is part of Japanese culture, Most first-time visitors to Japan are struck by how clean the country is, I visit Japan so many times and I’m still impressed with their cleanliness.

Food : Food is awesome and affordable. While walking to Naritasan temple please try their Matcha ice cream 🍦and grilled eel, the taste is awesome !!

People : Most of them are genuinely friendly even though there is a communication barrier, but don’t worry try google translate 👍🏼

Other than that : Just bring some cash, they also have preloved shop that requires cash only, the price is more more cheaper.

This wonderful gem is always a favorite place for me to go on my layovers! I walk about 8 miles through stunning emerald rice fields to the “Stairway to Heaven”, literally as it goes through the packed Japanese cemetery onto the back of the Temple grounds. I then spend some time at the pond pagoda feeding the turtles and coy before meandering the grounds towards the entrance.
I’ve been walking this path more than 10 years.

Nice lovely and peaceful place to visit. Would be nice to visit around evening or morning during summer as it's too hot during day. Other time it's okey I guess.

Very near to Narita airport (15 min by taxi) if you’re here in japan for a short period of time and you can get out of the airport you should try out this temple. Also menu options for eating traditional dishes and a very cultural street to enjoy while you’re in here. Specially recommendable if you don’t have enough time to travel to Tokyo.

This place was a true gem!!! We had a few hours stopover in Narita and a lady at airport information desk has recommended this place. Best suggestion we could get!!! Even though the temple was closed by the time we got there, but we walked around the complex and it is such a beautiful and serene place. Can highly recommend for a visit!

Fantastic area to visit in Narita. Not too far from the international airport. The area is serene, and quiet if you can make it out in the morning or later afternoon.

Wow I really recommend checking this place out if you have the chance. I spent probably an hour checking out the walking paths through the trees and the coy fish in the lake

This is an old Buddhist temple with a very beautiful view. If you have a couple of hours between 2 flights from Narita Airport, this is a good place to spend time.

A beautiful Buddhist temple close to the airport. We were able to take a taxi and back with plenty of time for our layover.

It was very interesting and informative. We were lucky to see the service in the pagoda, some traditions and priests prayers were very different from our Christian church services.
