Oyado Hana

The location was perfect, very close to train station and bus station to Nachi Falls. Owner was friendly and the room was big for Japanese standards. We chose the tatami room and the futon was comfy. You can leave your luggage after check out to while you explore nachi falla.

Great place to stop at the end of the Kumano Kodo and prior to take the train back to Osaka/Kyoto. Very well located, nice comfortable rooms, super nice staff and a great private onsen. Amazong value for money

What an amazing stay! Apart from all that's been said (perfect location, great value) this hotel is so welcoming. Signs guide you to luggage storage that is available before and after your stay, there are shared fridges and free toiletries and slippers for outdoor use. The room itself is simple and sweet, clean tatami mats, comfortable futons, coffee and tea, a drying rack, towels, and as many blankets as you need. The home is well lit and lovely, the onsen is a bonus and the staff are amazing. Thank you for a great stay!! Would definitely come back!

They have a small(two ppl max) onsen which is free. Have to book the time with them.

Such a great spot to stay. Perfect location, rooms are so clean and well designed. Luggage storage and onsen were all great features. Friendly family. Great price. If you are staying here highly recommend getting a drink at nearby eddys bar. You won’t be disappointed.

We stayed at Oyado Hana Guesthouse in March 2023 at the end of our Kumano Kodo hike on the Nakahechi trail. The room was spacious and comfortable with not only futon but a small table and complimentary tea. The indoor onsen hours are 17:00-22:30 but unfortunately the slots are short (about 25 minutes), very limited and booked in advance, so do not count on being able to use the onsen if you arrive late. For meals, we went to the restaurants recommended by the guesthouse and they were both amazing: for dinner, the tuna set meal at Katsuragi, and for breakfast we went to Ichiba gohan Shige at Nigiwai market (opens at 8AM, go early to line up). Overall Oyado Hana Guesthouse was a convenient place to stay in Kii-Katsura and I'd love to come back someday.

Good value for money. The location was so good and the rooms were a little small but over all worth it.
The only down side are that the walls are fairly thin and there isn’t a lot of shared bathrooms.

We stayed at Oyado Hana before starting the Kumano Kodo and it is one of our favorite places we have stayed in Japan, and super affordable too. Large but cozy room, great private onsen for no extra charge, very friendly host, and great location.

Friendly staff, clean rooms and a mini onsen you can book for free! A great ending to our hike. Within a 5 minute walk or less there are restaurants serving delicious seafood, and it's right by the station.

This place is unbeatable! Location is right outside of the train, the rooms are clean and comfortable and most of all - they have a private onsen that you can reserve for no additional cost. Best value in town. We loved it.

A beautiful warm, welcoming guesthouse in the lovely port of Kii-Katsuura. The owners' hospitality made us feel right at home, they were enormously helpful with assisting us in takkyubin-ing our bags at the last minute. Our tatami room was big, comfortable, charming and meticulously clean. The tea and coffee station was highly appreciated, and the private onsen here is deliciously HOT. Definitely recommend Oyado Hana to any traveller, I'd love to visit again.

Amazing place. Hosts are very warm and the place is nice, comfortable and clean. In front of the train station. It has a private onsen. If you get there before check-in hours, there are coin lockers available at the entrance.

Good accommodation for backpackers or economical trip. The building is old but their tatami rooms are clean and cozy. Comfortable futon and onsen. Nice restaurants are across the railroad for dinner. English available.
