Not far from the castle park is this cozy liquor shop where you can also taste the local sake for a reasonable price. The owner speaks English and his family has had a business in this old part of the city since the 1600s, so you can learn a little more about the history of the area as well!

The owner of the shop is very friendly and knowledgeable about sake + food pairing. This is also the main concept of this store, he will always ask you what will you consume/do and then finds a sake for you that works well for the ocasion. Furthermore, the owner Masanori-san speaks good English so you can ask him for anything in English without worrying about the language barrier.

The shop is located in a 8 min walk from morioka park in the center of the city. I highgly recommend people to take the time to make the small trip. Here you will be able to get very tasty sake + sake combos or a good converstation about music and food.

I have been coming to this shop as a exchange student and at that time he gave me recommendations that fit my small budget. Now that I make a proper living he has a abundant range that fits for a simple dinner or a wedding.

In short this is the man you should go to if you are new to the North of Japan and want a quality source of information for good restaurants in the area. Knowledge about fun hiking routes or other activities in Iwate and beyond. He also has other people in his network that organise hiking trips such as gonorthJapan. So definitly take the time to visit this shop first!

Very nice owner! Loved the sake tasting and learned a lot about sake, where it's from, what rice it's made of... Would definitely recommend to go there!

昔ながらの角打ちとは一線を画しています。
・好きな酒をコップになみなみと　ではなく、お気に入りを見つけるための試飲という位置づけ(もちろん試飲のみでOK)
・客が好みを言うと、オーナーがおすすめをいくつか紹介してくれます。
・食中酒としての日本酒の提案に力を入れているそうです。「⚪⚪と一緒に飲むお酒」のようなイメージを持って来店するといいかも。
・明るくキレイなお店
・ツマミの種類は少なくお高め(近日中にリーズナブルなツマミを増やすそうです)

今日は地元岩手の名門、菊の司創業の平井家の嫡流が醸す平六醸造のお酒をいただきました。いい出会いに感謝。

安いツマミがあればちょくちょく通いそう。よろしくお願いします。

2022年8月15日に日本酒を味見しようと訪れました。全国から、これぞという日本酒をマスターが選んだ銘柄を格安で味わえます。今回は、8銘柄を味わいました。マスターが、飲む順番に四合瓶とグラスを並べてくださいました。淡麗のものから徐々に濃厚になっていくのが分かりました。つまみに選んだ、秋刀魚のオイルサーディンもマッチして、とても美味しかったです。また、別の銘柄を紹介してもらいに行ってみようと思います。

日本酒購入の他に、テイスティングもできるオシャレな酒屋さんです。

岩手県内の日本酒を中心に有利試飲をコンセプトにしているお店です。
立地的には決して良いとは言えないと思いますが、微妙に徒歩で行く気になれる距離を強みにしてもらい更に元気の良い店になって貰いたいと思うのでした。

品数は決して多くはないが、厳選された日本酒を購入できます。
実際に飲んでから購入出来るのもgood

令和5年から材木町よ市に出店しています。

他の店より日本酒は若干安いです。作が飲めるのは嬉しい。

ただ売っている日本酒のラインナップがほとんど変わらない。
