Seoul Gypsy

Highly recommended for craft beer lovers! They offer a wide variety of brews, changed seasonally, that are delicious. Their speciality is Farmhouse Ale, which means some of their offering are on the sour spectrum.

Food menu is small and limited to mostly bar bites.

For tourists without KakaoTalk / local number, talk to the staff and they'll arrange for you to queue.

Unfortunately this branch does not offer their cans for sale.

This place is located right next to a palace of the Joseon dynasty that has a royal garden inside of it.

They serve wonderful food and their own brewed beers made from local ingredients by local people.

It was busy on Saturday night, so you might have to wait for your seat if you come early (around 6-7 pm), but it is worth waiting.

I always have a good time here; the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the food and beers are tasty. It is a must-visit place if you are into either beer or hipster places.

Despite the tap list being all in Korean, staffs were very informative and could recommend beers to your liking. Great quality of beers. Didn’t expect to find good Farmhouse ale in Korea. Superb!

Cool taproom with well crafted beers and interesting snacks. We had a porter, saison, pilsner, IPA, lager, and imperial stout. They were all delicious, well balanced and well poured. We had their agedashi tofu-like snack which was delicious.

There are seats around the bar area, seats along the window that looks at the wall of Jong-myo and a couple of interior tables.

This is one of my favorite beer place in Seoul.
When it’s spring season, the windows are opened and you can feel the wind and sunlight at the cozy Korean traditional house.
Their tap list is updated regularly and usually there are 2-3 beers brewed by Seoul Gypsy and 8-9 beers by other breweries in Korea and overseas.
They have Thai based foods and some other small plates to enjoy with beer.

Cozy and cute taproom with decent variety of craft beers. Belgian import and locals. Service and food menu also in English. Beer menu in Korean but staff supports when needed. Jamon avocado platter was great!

Great! Nice range of draft beers including those brewed by the Seoul Gypsy master himself. The atmosphere was nice and staff was friendly. And of course, they had lots of nice beers.

Great place to visit. Tucked away from the tourist spots in a quiet neighbourhood. Enjoyed a nice evening with some good beers. The house is from 1948 and a gem, renovated by the guy who runs the show. Felt very much at ease.

Wonderful quality tap beers served fresh and proper. The ambiance is superb, too.

Lovely beer oasis with an incredible atmosphere. Bartenders are extremely amicable. House beers are creative and consistently delicious.

Excellent beer brewed by them. We had a Jeju tangerine and a Mango Gose, both excellent. Served well by people who know their beer. Lots of guest ales, Korean and foreign. Definitely worth it for anyone who wants good craft beer.

The best place for beer geeks that we have found in Seoul. Especially if you like sours.

Fantastic, small microbrewery/bar with amazing food and ambience - bartender spoke fantastic English and was able to recommend some great beers. Well worth trying to track down (if you're in an industrial street with no other bars around, you're in the right place!)

This is definitely my favorite taproom in Gangbuk area, Seoul. #Mustcome. Korean twisted vibe. Not available for more than 4 ppl. But no problem to me Cause I always come alone hahahahahhahaha

Interesting variations of beers, antique colonial interior and nice vibes

With a vibrant mix of competent craft beer; a well-executed unique, diverse menu; and a warm, minimalist decor, Seoul Gypsy is a nice slice of Bohemian chic in the landscape of modern Korea. Dishes like their chorizo tater tots are a zesty treat that may redefine what folks think of as pub food. I'd recommend Seoul Gypsy as a fine example of how Korean business can embrace an international palate while celebrating the distinctively simple coziness of the Land of Morning Calm. I became a convert with my first drink and a true believer with the delectable munchies.

This microbrewery has a good selection of premium craft beer. It has a fantastic venue and location.

Great local craft beer. Staff is great and friendly. They make unique beers unlike the usual lineup you’ll see at other craft beer bars. Happened to go on a night they had a charity event where they had some Hill Farmstead on tap which is rare to see in Asia.

Great little craft beer bar that tends to get crowded early. Food and bottle menus are available in English while the draft menu is Hangul only. However on our visit the English speaking owner was more than helpful. We got the chili tots to eat and they were delicious.
