Yongsan Crafts Museum

Great destination to have the pulse of the current traditional craft artists in Korea. Pottery, metal works, ceramics, etc. It is a perfect place to find a gift for someone special.

If you are looking for an original artisan-made souvenir, this is the place to be. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The museum also offers workshops (I did not partake). There is a small exhibit upstairs, ask about it and staff will direct you accordingly. Prices are very reasonable.

It’s very neat, has a museum for souvenirs and traditional crafts that even has some beautiful furniture peices!!

You can also learn many different korean traditional crafts by masters in each craft!!

I took a workshop to learn how to make a necklace with mother of pearl, the master was very helpful and friendly!!
I had my korean friend with me that helped me with the translation, but i don’t know if you would need a translator for other workshops!!

Other workshops includes, traditional accesories, korean traditional paper dolls, sewing hanbok, and other different crafts!!

I would love to visit again to take all the other classes!! It was truely one of my favorite days in korea and it was a dream that came true💖💖💖

I have had some great experiences in this craft museum! I thought all classes are to be reserved before arrival but for most of the classes, you can just walk in and a knock on the door and teacher will start giving you a one to one craft class immediately. I have took two metal jewelry classes which were great. The ground floor is the shop and 2/F & 3/F are where the studios located. Ladies in the shop may not be fluently with English, but they will show you the pamphlets in varies languages. A good place to learn some tradition Korean crafts and spend 2-3 hours there.

People who works there are very nice and accomodating. Ms. PARK from the pottery class is a very kind young lady. Many experience classes to offer. Very pleasant visit everytime. And it's my 3rd visit.

Fun place to go and see Korean traditional arts and make something on your own. You don't have to sign up beforehand. Just show up and they'll get you in the class you're interested in. I made two rings and they took about an hour and a half. They were very easy to make. Depending on the staff, they may know some English. There was a friendly gentleman who showed me around the gift shop and then took me to the jewelry class. The women were very helpful and knew some English. We all had a fun time and I didn't feel rushed. I will definitely visit them again.

This is a hidden gem of Itaewon. The rooftop garden is beyond gorgeous and the art is so beautiful here. If you can speak some Korean, the store workers are super kind and helpful. They helped me pick out a gift with a lot of thought and consideration.

A beautiful new arts center. There is a lovely museum store on the first floor that contains many affordable art and craft items, as well as higher priced fine art pieces. I am so glad that I was able to find this spot on my recent trip to Korea. I regret not having purchased more journals, paper, and inlaid pieces. I can't wait to be able to visit it again.

We had to go there to do an art workshop with some other school teachers. We made a lamp. It was a good class and we have a nice lamp to use at home now.

용산구가 직영하는 공예관. 국내 유명 작가들의 공예품을 전시 및 판매하고 있고 공예 체험도 가능하다. 판매하고 있는 제품들 퀄리티에 비해 가격도 괜찮은 편. 직원분들이 도와주셔서 편리하게 쇼핑 가능.

매번 들려서 공예품 구매 도 하고 전시 도 보고 있는데 정말 아름다운 공간이었다. 한남동에 있어서 접근도 쉽고 공예품도 인사동과 비교 할 수도 없을 정도로 퀼리티도 좋고 명장선생님들 물품도 많아서 선물하기도 정말 좋았습니다. 팝업인줄 알았는데 구청에서 운영한다고 하니 더 믿음직 스럽네요.
