LOTTE MART ZETTAPLEX Seoul Station

Our go-to grocery for everything we need. The grocery is as wide as the eyes can see! They have amazing collection, varied fresh produce, big head cabbages/lettuce and tons of seafoods packed perfectly.

We got our groceries here for the wntire 8 days we were there. They have food for psalubong, skincare items and tons of things you can bring home to your family!

Our usual purchases were: rice, eggs, ready-made food which does have huge discounts 30 minutes prior to closing. We got some fried chicken, lettuce, fresh meat, soup base, banchan and some fruits.

Great spot to stop for most things you require, food, drinks, bakery items, luggage, electronics, staff were very friendly and westerner accepting compared to most department stores. Keep up the great work.. :)

Very big supermarket with many sections for snacks. Very competitive pricing and suitable for tourist to get snacks and skincare for souvenirs. There is a mini food court inside with affordable food options.

Super big mart with lots of items at great value. Love their one for one promotion on selected items. Gimbap was super tasty as well. I had it for lunch and dinner on the same day. Able to bring kimchi back to your home country as well(they will pack it nicely for you)

2023 Oct. update:

Lotte Mart has updated its interior and layout, making it very bright and easy to navigate.
Products are easy to find, and the dining area on the first floor is centralized.
You can also leave your luggage at the front desk service area, and there are paid lockers available in the middle section of the first floor

Huge mart with almost anything you can think of (food). Meat options, like beef, was plentiful - great discounts at the end of the day if you are a member. Oat milk too for my vegan son. Tax refund possible / included on bills above 15k KRW.

During my stay in January, I visited Lotte Mart Zettaplex at Seoul Station daily to purchase various items, many of which were noticeably cheaper compared to outside shops. The store's wide selection, along with the convenience of direct tax refunds requiring only a passport, made it my go-to destination. With its organized layout, helpful staff, and reasonable prices, Lotte Mart Zettaplex offers a convenient and budget-friendly shopping experience for travelers like me in Seoul.

After spending six days in Seoul, I just couldn't get off the catchy Lotte Mart song that kept playing in my head 😂

This place is a supermarket to buy anything. They even have on the spot tax refund when spend above certain amount.. Even those pop up store too

One of the biggest mart I've been to.

It has everything from packet snacks to fresh produce such as live mussels, crabs, fried chicken, side dishes anchovies, seaweed, biscuit snacks, chocolate , almond cereal etc

We spent around 2 to 3 hours here, and if you get hungry, they have a few food stall inside selling cooked food. The usual tteobbeokki, sundae, pork dumpling, gyoza, noodles , cheese ramyeon, coffee, sikhye etc

The prices for some snacks are comparable to outside shops too. Didn't check but saw some snacks that are priced similarly as compared to shops in other streets.

The ahjumma staffs selling food are also very friendly.

Lotte Mart's first floor features a vast supermarket, with all kind of souvenirs, while the second floor houses diverse shops like Daiso and Pokémon, offering a variety of souvenirs options for tourists. Its connection to Seoul Station adds convenience for last-minute shopping.

I brought boogi (from busan) and he decided to stay back and join iron man in his adventure

Very nice and variety of choices, whoever is visiting, would be good stopping by and getting gifts for friends🙌

if you are on budget here are some tips.
The VAT rate in South Korea in 2023 is 10%.
- To get the VAT refund, just show your passport at the cash desk, but you have to spend 30,000 Won to get it.
Around 5 p.m. the store applies 20% reductions on fresh products, such as take-away meals or cuted fruits boxes.
- There are also discounts in the dairy products, those that are close expiration dates.
- You can leave your suitcase at the entrance to the supermarket, it's free for the first 3 hours, there are also lockers for your handbags.

This is the place where you buy for your snacks to bring back. Happy place for me.

Buy 100,000Won, you can get a T-money card as a gift.

My wife wanted to buy some quality Korean seafood back to Hong Kong. On Jan 15, 2023, my wife, our elder daughter and her boyfriend and I came. We bought to our hearts content and had to deposit our stuff back to the hotel before visiting other places.

Postscript

Led by our elder daughter, my wife and I came again on Feb 21, 2024. There’s no need to insert a coin to get a cart. The ladies spent a lot of time and money in the Capsule Street as I went window shopping. My wife’s target was to buy marinated oysters. Only when we were at the section did we learn that her favourite was only available in the Mart from Nov to Jan. Anyhow, we still bought a lot of Korean stuff back to Hong Kong.

Best deals such as sweets, instant coffee, bodycare and even had deals for clothes. Had steelware specifically steel rice bowls and steel mugs made in Korea. Had tax refund readily claimed. There was innisfree booth which had good sale and the sales lady gave green tea serum/lotion duo travel set.

Very big mart. You can purchase almost everything here. Even dine here is a good idea. I had delicious fried fish cake noodles (Udon) in here. Highly recommended for shopping.

Lotte Mart Seoul Station is really big and has so many stuff. I easily spent 2 hours there just wandering around. It is also a good place to buy sweets and souvenirs.

Good locations and huge with a great variety of items. Snacks.. alcohol.. ready to eat food and food stall are all available.
