I know there are hundreds branches of this bakery in other cities, but you must visit this head quarter place if you have any chance to go Gyeongju as taste of the freshly baked 'hwangnamppang' is not comparable to which in branches. I am Korean and I had though I know what is hwangnamppang by the last year when I visited this place. At the time, I realized I was wrong with one bite of the fresh bread in this place. Many people think this is a good souvenir but I recommand you at least to have one peace of bread before you pack it as a gift for your family. It will be awsome.

Amazing and tasty. It can get very busy, I went during Chuseok, and it was a 30 min wait. But it is worth it.

Tasty red beans paste bread

Got the red bean pastries made fresh which was delicious. Probably could use a bit more bread and less red bean filling, but that’s just my preference. Overall very good and unique. Like a mooncake, but not so heavy.

Yummy!! Not too sweet red bean bread. You can buy 1 pieace of HwangNamPang, not 20 pieces of set(20,000Won). It's only 1,000won, try just baked hot bread

Hwangnam bread is famous in Korea since Shilla dynasty and now over 73 years. Actually Asia area have different kinds of red bean cake as well. However Hwangnam bread's skin is thinner and the red bean paste is not too sweet. Freshly hand made and no preservatives. That's why many Koreans like it and I do also. This is a must have when you are in Gyeongju, Korea.
