What an experience the place is so huge we took 3 hours and haven’t finished half of it it’s insane

Baraholka is a huge market. Eastern market with its many years tradition of small talk between a customer and a seller. Both win at the end.
I believe u can find almoat anything u want and need at this market which is actually a small town with various regions - carpet region, kitchen utensils region, kids toys' region, sewing stuff region, clothing, garden, bathing and so on and so forth.
But u have to be ready to walk a lot and u will dwfinitely spend a lot of money there cause the prices are lower than in the city shops and u want to buy it all since u r at Baraholka already.
Worth visiting if u r a tourist and definitely worth buying things there if u live in Almaty

The biggest and longest market of Almaty. You can buy whatever you want from here. You will find everything in the market there and at reasonable prices too. You will not be able to roam completely in this market even in a whole day. But if the item which you will not find in the whole city, it will be easily available there.There are many shops of the same item in one place, so the price is also reasonable. Everything from cosmetics, shoes, clothes, toys, food items to home essentials is available here.

The biggest bargain market in Almaty and definitely the best prices (even better than the Green Market). Be prepared with cash and don’t expect English. Best to take a taxi to visit and be dropped on the Main Street, as traffic is crazy! We spent 2 hours there and might have explored 1/4 of the market!

It's postly open marker with some buildings inside.it's perfect for reasonable prices. Some sections sell only for bulk, but there a lot of choice of retail clothes, carpets, appliances and many other. It's mostly Kyrgyzstan like, Chinese and Turkish made. If you don't mind an adventurous and tedious sechearching for what you need, it can be quite a dip into local culture and also how locals live here

The best and biggest market area of Almaty. Makes an amazing day trip out of the city. Can be quite overwhelming because the immense size and amount of people. Loved it.

The Barakholka has been chancged in last several years. There are like many diifferent malls - each mall has specialization: electronics, furniture, carpers etc. I was surprised by these good changes.

Great place to see a local market. Clothes. Housewares, carpets..... don't expect english, and bring cash.

It's good But expensive if you know how to bargain it's good must visit
