ibis Astana

I'm fond of Accor's hotels and Ibis is one of the balanced decisions. It is definitely value for money. And I especially appreciate the service Ibis Astana staff provided to my mother-in-law. Thanks a lot to all Ibis Astana employees.
By the way, the hotel provides hearty and delicious breakfasts. And for lunch/dinner, you can easily order something from international cuisine in the hotel's restaurant.
Highly recommended!

My first experience with an Accor hotel and it was fantastic.

My original room was fantastic but a bit cold, so the staff kindly moved me to another room on the same floor with no complaint, which means a lot to me. The breakfast bar was great, it had a lot of variety and is served for much of the morning. You get complimentary slippers, a bottle of water and the bathroom is stocked with a combo shampoo/shower gel for low-fuss mornings. Also, the beds in this hotel were the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in in my entire life. I was low-key trying to figure out how to get one home!

Both rooms I stayed in were very clean and the hotel has a lot of natural light, which is the best way to wake up for me, personally. Housekeeping staff is very courteous, and despite a language barrier, they always understood. They seem to come at random times each day though, depending on whether they have one or two service carts tending to the floor, so just use your “Do Not Disturb” sign if you want to sleep late.

There is free wi-fi on site, too, which made it super easy to stay in touch with my dad and friends back home.

Note: I suggest requesting extra towels as there is a design flaw in the showers (not the hotel’s fault,) that causes water to leak onto the floor and it is quite slippery.

The real MVPs though, and the reason I will stay here again, are the front-end hospitality staff. Max, Azamat, Dayana and the gent who always wears a jacket whose name I never got (I believe it starts with an N,) were the BEST. I had requests like hot water (for a throat tea) when I first arrived, help ordering pizzas and a wine request int he wee hours of the morning and every one of my annoying whims was satisfied with no pushback.

Great Hotel! Loved it during my stay for the EXPO in Astana. Very friendly and helpful people. Great meals in the evening after an long working day and great drinks. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The Housekeeping does an great job! When visiting Kazakstan again, it´s my first choice :)

Hotel was great. Liked the interior. Really friendly staff. Shower was a little bit old, so some tiles were looking kinda dirty. Everything else was okay. Saw 3 power sockets in the room.

A great hotel in every way. If you can get a room on the higher floors (12 and up), you will get a better view. (September 2019)
