Rosa's House, Homemade Yucatan Food

I have been in the Yucatan peninsula for 3 months and this was my second favorite meal ever since being here. It was a family vibe and the service fantastic. Freshly made and gosh I can't say enough about it haha it's been a day since and still talking about it.

We stopped here to eat before visiting the cenote next door. We arrived around 10am and they weren’t open yet. We were going to leave but they invited us to stay and said they would cook for us. We had delicious cheese empanadas with a marinera sauce and a dish similar to a pork tostada, both were delicious. They also had a refrigerator full of cold beer and soda. They had a couple tables out of the sun. The family that lives here told us all about the fruit trees on their property and invited us to try a fruit similar to rambutan on their property. They were very kind and our meal plus drinks for 4 was around 450 pesos. They allowed us to park on their property while we walked next door to swim at the cenote, which was fantastic! They have a bathroom also. Highly recommend! At the end of the pavement, look for the small signs attached to a tree on your left and you’ve found it. You can pull off the road to the left and park on their property.

Best food I've had in 2 months in Mexico. Tiny little hut with goats and cows running around the yard. The people were wonderful and friendly, the food was incredible, and the experience was as authentically Mexican as it gets.

Moss Rosa makes tasty traditional Mayan meals. Swim in the cenote and then fill up on good food. Perfect!

Local flavor with excellent service. Food was delicious.

Découvert par hasard au voisinage du cenote. Ce petit établissement avec 3 tables en plastique sert une cuisine savoureuse et fraîche, bon marché et avec le sourire. Vraiment chouette

A very homemade place, Dona Rosi is a very very sweet lady.
Unfortunately the man working at the tables charged us 180mxn for just the soup so we felt very ripped off (that’s around 10€).
Besides that the ladies are very nice and the soup was good, but we left still hungry.

C’est très bon et sympathique, des tables en plastique et plat unique : une assiette composée de poulet riz et salade / attention cependant aucun prix n’est affiché donc c’est à la tête du touriste… 150 pesos l’assiette ? 40 la bière ? On vous demandera aussi peut être 30 pesos pour le parking en plus ! Garez vous dans la rue
