Another beautiful Magic Town in Hidalgo, Mex. It's an old mine town with and English flavor. Legend has it that soccer in Latin America was born here when a match was played by miners against English foremen.

We made a quick stop in Mineral Del Monte on our way to Tolantongo. It's a beautiful town with English architecture and a lot of charm. While there we tried pastes, a local specialty. They are pastries filled with sweet or savory ingredients, we preferred the sweet ones. We would have loved to stay longer and explore the town and surrounding area a little more. Hope to return soon!

Enchanting town with beautiful colors and architecture. Good selection of stores and restaurants. Clean environment and beautiful Dia de los Muertos altars.

There's not much to say... It's a very nice stop, very crowded of course on weekends and holidays but it's so lovely in winter with the fog!!!! I love PASTES, that is the only reason I went there. I hardly recommend LA GONDOLA (a small store across the Turibus stop)

Cute little town for a day off so close of Mexico City! Recommend the restaurant Casona Grande. Good food, great atmosphere and service! And after, a visit to the "Prismas Basálticos"!

Es un lugar muy bonito y tranquilo para pasar uno o dos días, aunque es pequeño hay varios lugares de entretenimiento.
Nos tocó visitarlo cuando estaba la feria del Pueblo y fue más entretenido aún.
Recomiendo mucho visitar el panteón inglés, el museo del paste, el de medicina y al menos entrar a una de sus minas.
También hay que tener en cuenta que es más fácil moverse caminando que en auto, así que prepárate para subir y bajar constantemente.😅
