Fun activities and a nice place to enjoy with the family. Stands that offer different food to eat. They don't charge the entrance, however they do ask for a voluntary donation. They also rent/offer horseback riding and the use of quad bikes.

Good nature contact experience, but need to use solar protection if you wanna go on sunny days (highly recommend).
If you want to use a parking space next to the entrance it costs $50.00 MXN ($2.70 USD approx) there are also some local snacks (like spicy nachos, roasted corn, steam corn tasty ) and drinks (alcohol and no alcoholic). Also you can ride horses (don't know the cost/person) or use the zipline (don't know the cost/person)
Entrance is free.

Nice little place about 2 hours from Guadalajara city. It is located in a higher elevation, do it would be a little cooler. Drive safe since the road is narrow and lots of turns. You can do different activities like horse riding for 100 pesos ($6.00 dollars). Zip line for $150 pesos. Rent quads motorcycles.... Entrance fee is by donation and parking fee for 40 pesos.... They also have different snacks places and souvenirs..

Nice touristic place with natural gigantic rocks, some of them in the shape of big ball. There is no entry fee but you can pay with tip. Has some store inside which serves drinks and fast Mexican food. There are activities like zip line and horse riding. In July 2021 the cost of horse riding is 100 pesos per person and last 15-20 min. You can have beautiful pictures there

I enjoy visiting this interesting location. As with other beautiful places I have been. I am forced to overlook the tags all over and trash shoved all over the area. It's a shame that people haven't been properly trained to care for this Earth.

I visited in September 2019 and really enjoyed it. It's a beautiful place and very relaxing. It is nice to walk around among the stones and climb on them. Seems to be a good place to bring children who like to explore. Wear old shoes that you don't mind getting dirty, especially after a rain. Also, watch where you step because there are cows, horses, and dogs in the area.

Cool spot to visit with your kids. Short hike to and from the Piedrotas. Entrance fee is free but they ask for a donation amount of your choosing of you wish to donate. The rocks are nicer when you are up close and personal vs watching from a distance. You can hike or for a small fee take a horse or a quad.

Amazing place, great views. Best time to go is on the weekends as you'll find more people visiting and food drinks are available. We visited on a Wednesday and although it was open, there were no open shops which was ok.

This is a very nice place that is easy to reach by road from Tapalpa in 10 min. It consists of 2 groups of giant round rocks. One can climb up to some of these rocks but it is a bit dangerous. Take some good hiking shoes with you. After the trip a small restaurant and shop offers food and refreshments.

We stopped here on our way to Tapalpa, a Pueblo Magico.

This is a place with huge stones that should not be here. Their origin and how they appear here is apparently unknown. Dotting the landscape and providing an interesting area to walk or rent a horse and ride thru. Or a nice place to stop, enjoy the view. There is restaurant and the facilities are clean if you need them.

Beautiful monumental rock formations

Located about a ten minute drive from Tapalpa, and towering over fifty feet high, the the Piedrotas are one of the most spectacular natural rock formations in the region.

The area itself is freely accessible to walkers, and there are horse rides and quadbike tours of the site available. A small restaurant and souvenier shop are also onsite.

If you're in the area, enjoying the charming mountain town of Tapalpa, this site is definitely worth exploring for a couple of hours.

The Piedrotas Tapalpa was in my wishlist place since 2019 and in 2021 I finally get the chance to visit the place. The adventure start with the horse riding. It was my first time riding a horse, it was hell scary but I somehow managed to take the round of 20 minutes on a horse. After the horse we started walking towards the piedrotas. The view is no doubt beautiful and pictures worthy. They’ve other activities to try there like zip lining and some activities for kids. Apart from that they have some small shop to grab something real quick though the prices are on higher side. There is no entrance fee to the piedrotas and parking space is also available.

Beautiful and calm area to visit. They also offer horseback riding or you could hike the trail on foot. As that name suggests, they are huge rocks and there are areas for you to climb them as well.

Wonderful place! I was really surprised. It feels like Stonehenge but is much more impressive. If you are in the area, don't miss it!
