El Aljibe de San Pedro

My second time here and well pleased both times. Food was fresh locally grown and tasty. Had the Indian appetizer with chicken fettuccine and salmon with two sauces. Small venue inside a historic cistern, eclecticly decorated to keep you amused the entire evening. The owner who is very cordial and 1 other server take care of everything. Would recommend for a pleasant evening.

I make sure to visit this place every time I come to Mazatlan.

Great food in a location that was originally a cistern. The eclectic deco will give you tons of stuff to talk about, and the owner is a kind and interesting person who takes great care in making sure his customers are happy.

You'll need a reservation to get in and I recommend to do it well in advance since it's a small but very popular restaurant.

Excellent experience. José is fantastic. Excellent food. Had the oxtail stew and blue cheese pasta. Both were fantastic. Never had blue cheese pasta before but loved it.

Extreme quality food and service. Intriguing interior art. I reserved through Facebook a few days before and received a very quick response. Waited outside for a few minutes before I was noticed and welcomed inside.

The service was attentive and all the food beautifully prepared. We tried the auga Fresca with sugar cane and lime juice and it was delicious

Love this place! You can't find a restaurant like this anywhere else! You have to see it to believe it....very unique and eclectic! Menu is very limited....4 appetizers and 4 main courses but excellent! The wine has always been perfect! Excellent host!

The food here is great. Reservations are a must, and there are a few rules for eating here: no margaritas, bar drinks are simple, and what's on the menu is what you get. They'll make some substitutions, but they aren't going to bend over backwards to please everyone. If you're not difficult, you'll be treated to a funky, intimate atmosphere and some DELICIOUS food. The boulognese and oxtail are to die for! This is unlike anything else in Mazatlán.

At a recent birthday dinner, the ambience was delightfully unique, the service professional without being obsequious, the food amazing (tuna med. rare with al dente vegetables), the price (including wines) is reasonable - my favourite restaurant in Mazatlan for years never disappoints..

Year after year El Aljibe has proven to be a world class restaurant. The meals and service are consistently superior. Add the truly unique backdrop of the inside of an old cistern, decorated with vintage curios.... you can count on a memorable dining experience.

I think this is the one most important place you cannot miss in Mazatlan. Crazy atmosphere, good service and out of this world food! You need as reservation and cash only...
