la Fábula -Food Books Beer (la Casa de los Chilaquiles) in Mazatlán

la Fabula is just like the name states, fabulous. At least I think that's what Fabula means in English 🤔😂🙄 Whether you go for breakfast or lunch (closed for dinner) you will find yourself having a culinary delight. The spices, the heat, the portions, all done to perfection. The service is wonderful, you will find both Spanish and English speaking staff. The decor is super cute and trendy, they even have a bar area. As per the books, well that is the only thing I did not take much of an interest in, what can I see, I was there for the food. La Fabula will not disappoint, I highly recommend their house made mole 😋😋😋😋😋 I would give them a sixth star if I could. One of my favorite places in all Mazatlán.

Passed by this place the whole books theme caught my attention. Came in to drink a beer and try out a Michelada and that Mango Flavored Michelada was bomb! The bartender was helpful with the selection and made sure I was taken care of. This place is very cozy low key type place. Recommend it for the intimacy. This a place you can come in just to relax and drink a beer real quick did not try out the food but many people were and they seem to enjoy it. Beer was cold and that is what was good enough for me.

We had breakfast at La Fabula today and loved the eggs benedict, the fruit/granola and americano coffee. Our server was so friendly and kind.

Amazing little corner bar and restaurant! Sat outside to enjoy the ambiance of the Centro area and then the band played...amazing!!! Food was great, the beers were cold and the tequila flowing!

Favorite bar in Mazatlan because the people are so nice and they have live music 4 times a week. The Jazz duo on Sundays is my favorite. Food is good, especially the fish and chips (as it's owned by a British lady). They have a good beer selection and serve almost any mixed drink. I've also seen people drinking wine.

The chilaquiles were amazing. I got chipotle flavored with chicken and they are fire. I will be coming back on my next trip.

Great food, great atmosphere, great service and great location in the historic “Centro” district of Mazatlan. Also great internet and my favorite place to work for a few hours while in Mazatlán.

Love the service and food. The owner always takes time to chat, and my wife loves sporting her "La Fábula" t-shirt. Two for one drinks specials all day Wednesdays and music to fill your weekend.

Paco, wait staff was welcoming and speaks English. Also has managed the other La Fabula in Centro for four years. Tuesdays 2/1 cocktails, Thursday is Karoke, Saturday is live music. Comfortable chairs and decor a bistro feel. Books stacked around and on shelves gives a warm feel...can take one home with you. Lunch food sandwiches grilled. Assortment of choices on menu. Beet tacos delicious!

What a magical place to be. We found La Fabula on our last spin through Mazatlan and what a find!!! Most mornings we had our breakfast here and a couple of nights we got the special treat of seeing our Buddy's Lori and Rob live. Can't wait to be back in October

The staff really cares about our dining experience. New Year's Eve a waiter let me wear his jacket all evening. Great food and outstanding entertainment.

I have found my favorite place in Mazatlan! Love both locations of La Fabula: one in El Centro, and the new one in zona Dorada. Love the service and their food: best chicken wings in town, their Chilaquiles are to die for, and, now my favorite...La Arrachera (flank steak). If you are in Mazatlan, make sure to stop and enjoy a little bit of paradise, in company of a good book or friends! (Family too! Took my mom there and loved their octopus!)

We stopped in for a bite at lunchtime. They have air conditioning, used books to buy and the food was amazing! They also have different types of live entertainment Thursday, Friday and Sat night's.

Nice quiet bar, friendly staff, they'll even give you a beer if you bring in a few books. There music is low enough you can talk. Great selection of beers

Lalo and the whole staff at La Fábula are mucho bueno! He has made an impressive effort to add vegetarian/vegan options to the menu. And the beer is very cold!! Well done!
