We have dined here twice and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. Pancho took care of us and he was funny and efficient... and a snappy dresser! The chicken piccata and beef stroganoff were delicious, and the special butter was tasty. Shrimp bisque was just ok.

It is a beautiful setting at night, with live entertainment from 2 older guitar players and later the Los Cryps band, who always have great vocals.

My wife and I had dinner here for our anniversary recently. Can't say enough nice things about the place. The atmosphere, service, and food were all excellent. I ordered the shrimp risotto, and my wife had the seafood fettuccine. We both ate in stunned silence, appreciating how good every bite was.

We also don't speak Spanish very well, and the staff were very accommodating.

They claim that breakfast is the most vital meal of the day, and after experiencing a gourmet breakfast with wonderful friends at Plaza Machado in Mazatlan, Mexico, it's hard to disagree. We savored a delicious meal in the luxurious, air-conditioned dining room, everyone enjoying themselves immensely during our gathering of 10 friends. The Breakfast Club had such a great time that we're already planning our return to Gaia very soon.

Such an amazing meal! I am generally not inclined to take pictures of food but everything we had was a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds. Definitely our best meal in Mazatlan so far. We’re coming back Sunday for paella!

Fabulous food. Outstanding service and the live music went 2 hours without a break. Rafael plays on Sunday night starting at 7 pm. We could see these big bowls of soup and huge salads being devoured all around us. I ordered the beef stroganoff, and my wife had the mahi mahi. Both were excellent. They served this toasted bread with whipped honey butter also which was yummy. We shared the key lime pie. It was topped with fruit and a sauce and ice cream...amazing. Some of the best food and service we've had in Mazatlán. Highly recommend.

The best restaurant we've had so far in Mazatlan. Great taste. Stylish Italian. Great service. Very pleasant experience. Very affordable. Will do it again

Excellent food and service. Nice location in the historical area of Mazatlan. Cloth napkins and cloth covered tables. We went there for lunch and will definitely come back for lunch or dinner.

Had a great meal at Gaia while in Mazatlan. It's in Plaza Machado and it has a very laid back atmosphere away from the craziness of the Malecon. Staff was great & the food was excellent.

Another great meal at Gaia last night. Although food was slow coming out, everything was delicious. Staff was very attentive and friendly.

One of my favorite restaurants in Mazatlan. The location is great, right on the main square. We sat outside, but there are seats inside if you prefer air conditioning. The food is always delicious and nicely presented. We shared the fish ceviche and mixed greens salad and enjoyed both. The service was excellent. The waiters all speak English if that's important to you. We will be back!

Surf and turf paella was really good. The quiet, relaxed setting was very peaceful.

Excellent breakfast! Just excellent. Sunday paella is the best; cooked perfectly. Angel and the rest of the serving staff are a 10/10!

Had the beef stroganoff, they use tenderloin, which was cooked perfect and epic in flavor.

This was some of the best shrimp I have ever had in Mexico. If you have a chance try the panko cilantro shrimp, you won't be disappointed.

This is one of those places that you just feel good when you arrive you're well taken care of the food is wonderful and I think the test of the pudding is that for me I keep coming back again and again so this might happen to you too.

Great food, stunning atmosphere, especially at night. The service was fantastic, and the waiters speak both Spanish and English, and the menus are also bilingual. This makes it great for tourists who want to make the most of their Mexican experience. All the food and drinks on their menu come within a reasonable time. The portions are reasonable for the price, as is the presentation of your meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant for couples looking for a romantic meal, or a group of friends seeking a moderately upscale dining experience.

My favorite dish is the shrimp tempura salad..lots of yummy veggies. And the service has always been good. ( also the waiters all have a fun sense of humor, I love that)
