Chedraui Selecto

Absolutely fabulous. There's nothing retail or grocery related in my home area of western nc that even comes close to the cleanliness and variety of offerings. It's like a fancy Harris Teeters and Nordstrom combined.
Unbelievable. Tip.
Prices are overall lower than Costco without the crazy crowds

I love that this store still has bags and baggers!!!
They also do not have self checkout, which is great because last time I checked I'm not an employee 😂
I like this store has most things you want or need. I wish the Chedraui selecto would stock things they used to like Epsom salts for example (which this store has)! This location is convenient but a bit further away for me.

If you're looking for hard to find items from America this is the place to go They usually have almost everything and have a decent vegan selection And if you're looking for a artisanal bread this is the place to be

Best grocery store I've visited in Merida. Very clean, visualy appealing, and well organized. Lots of nice options I haven't seen in other stores, such as gluten free pasta, Asian spices, and lots of tea selection.

This is definitely the most upscale grocery chain I have yet to see in Mexico. The stores are on par with the USA in terms of upscale quality and services. The selection is quite broad and even maintains 1 or 2 large isles of liquor beer and wine in refrigerated areas in a very nice presentation. The food bars are popular and even includes a sushi bar and a fresh pastry section that is always busy, filled with great stuff and all in an upscale presentation. The only slight drawback is the selection of Asian sauces and such are less than you will find in the states. Other than that that this is my go too for grocery shopping in an upscale, clean and good service environment.

If you can't find it at Walmart, this is a good alternative. Heavy on the food side but carries enough other household items to make it worth stopping by. We have just moved to Merida after we sold EVERYTHING. Between the two places we have most everything we need.

I love Chedraui. Wish there were stores like this in United States. Huge selection of many items. Many fresh fish, pastry, produce, meat, and vegetables.

Nice well laid out store. Well stocked with everything from food to household items and appliances, hardware. Love the bakery! Would definitely recommend

Great selection of items that are harder to find in the local markets. I kinda feel a bit like I'm back in the states with the number of options and choices.

It's one of the best grocery stores in all of Merida and area. The selection is top notch in every category.

They have a good selection of things expats like plus everything you get from other Chedraui stores. We don't go there often but when we do they have everything

A super store and mall with everything. Fresh vegetables, electronics, even got my glasses fixed.

Chedraui will always be my favorite supermarket in Playa del Carmen... It is not the cheapest but you can expect decent quality...

Good value for money. They have the slogan " En Chedraui cuesta menos". The best is Chedraui Selecto...

There are always available cashiers, the air conditioning is awesome, best parking lot in town, fruit is always good, polite staff, clean store. Love it.
Theres only one thing, I sometimes carry a back pack, but I can't take into the store, they ask me to leave at the client service counter, sometimes there's lot of people waiting there, clerk takes long to receive my backpack. When that happens, I go to some other supermarket.
