Hacienda Hotel Santo Domingo

A wonderful two days in a perfectly located hotel. It was quiet, clean, and the attention and service was fantastic.

We chose to have dinner the evening we arrived since we would be just getting to town and figured it would be easier. Both of us were glad we made that choice. The owner sent me the menu a few days before we arrived. I asked if the main dish could be prepared without the jalapeño and the owner was very accommodating in having our evening meal changed just a little. The dinner was excellent, prepared fresh and with wonderful flavors. Dessert was amazing.

Breakfast every morning poolside was so peaceful. We got to choose from five breakfast options. It included fresh fruit, fresh baked bread, fresh squeezed juice and good coffee.

The pool was cleaned several times a day of flowers that drop from a tree. Cool, clear water made for a great afternoon swim after walking around town in the heat. Our afternoon siestas were uninterrupted.

Our room had an outdoor shower (mosquito netting over the open shower kept insects out) and it was like being in a movie. Romantic, great water pressure and lots of hot water. The room was comfortable and had been thoughtfully designed.

Harald makes excellent cocktails at the poolside bar and the prices are very reasonable.

Highly recommendation for this Hacienda Hotel in Izamal, Yucatan!
Everything in its right place, not fancy but authentic. Clean rooms, swimming pool, romantic tropic garden with many birds singing in the dawn. Located in a quiet neighborhood not too far from the center of Izamal (10' walk). And furthermore the very friendlich owners Harald and his wife Sonia, who manages the kitchen and provides the guests with very good food above all.

This was the best place we stayed in our Mexico trip. The hotel is so gorgeous, the grounds, the pool, the dining areas. Our hosts were very hospitable, friendly, and helpful. We could easily walk into town and explore, and Izamal was an awesome little town! The romantic dinner was lovely as well and definitely worth it the night we got in.

Beautiful grounds, creatively renovated hacienda property. At night, this place is magic with tropic palms and other beauties decked out in fairy lights. The pool calls you into its cool depths. Proprietors who have years of experience looking after the needs of their guests. Great meals. Who can ask for more?

Beautiful place to relax for a moment, or to visit several sights during a several days accomodation. Great Hacienda, amazing service, good food, nice rooms, great baths, pool, silence!

This is definitely the best place to stay if you planning to go to Izamal.
As Izamal is called Magic Town, Hacienda Hotel Santo Domingo is magic as well. The place on the earth with special vibrant & energy.
Sonia & Harald make sure you fee like home... or better, since we are on vacation hahaha. Come here & stay as long as you can!!!!

Eine wunderschöne, sehr gepflegte und saubere Hacienda, die von Harald und seiner Frau mit viel Liebe geführt wird.
Die Hacienda liegt außerhalb des Stadtzentrums, welches aber trotzdem super zu Fuß zu erreichen ist. Auf dem weitläufigen Gelände fühlt man sich wie im Dschungel.
Die Atmosphäre ist komplett entspannt - ein Ort an dem man abschalten kann und sich gut aufgehoben fühlt. :-)
Die Zimmer sind mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und sehr sauber.
Auf jeden Fall zu erwähnen ist die spitzenmäßige Küche der Hacienda. Egal ob Frühstück (direkt am Pool) oder Abendessen (auf der schön angelegten Terrasse), alles wurde frisch zubereitet und war ein absoluter Genuss. Nochmal vielen Dank dafür!

Hervorragend! Ich kann mich den ganzen positiven Eindrücken nur anschließen. Die Hacienda wird mit Liebe von Harald und seiner Frau geführt und das merkt man. Alles top in Schuss, gemütlich, sauber, zum Entspannen und Eintauchen. Das Essen ist einmalig lecker. Danke für die tolle Zeit.

Wir durften während unserer Rundreise durch Yucatan eine schöne Zeit in der Hacienda Santo Domingo genießen.

Das sehr familiäre Ambiente und die ruhige Lage haben uns positiv begeistert. Die Zimmer sind sehr liebevoll gestaltet und sehr sauber. Zudem können wir das angebote Abendmenü sehr empfehlen.

Es ist deutlich erkennbar, dass viel Herzblut und Liebe in der gesamten Anlage steckt.

Von der Hacienda aus ist das Stadzentrum von Izamal zu fuß erreichbar und man benötigt kein Auto um das schöne Städtchen zur erkunden.

Wir könnendie Hacienda Santo Domingo nur weiterempfehlen.

Unfassbar schönes und gepflegtes Hotel. Die Anlage an sich spricht schon Bände. Gepflegtes Grün wohin man blickt und man merkt einfach hier schon wie viel Liebe in Details gesteckt werden. Der Eindruck verfestigt sich wenn man die Zimmer betritt. Alles ist sehr gepflegt, die Bettwäsche und die Handtücher sind unfassbar weich, der Wasserdruck in der Dusche ist europäischer Standard und man merkt einfach, dass hier sehr sehr viel wert auf Sauberkeit und Ordnung gelegt werden. Das Frühstück wird auch mit solcher Hingabe vorbereitet und serviert das man sich nur rundum wohl fühlen kann.

Ganz klare Empfehlung!

Hermoso lugar. Si estas buscando algo diferente a los tipicos hoteles este es altamente recomendable. Rodeado de naturaleza y con un ambiente muy intimo y tranquilo la atención fue de primera. El dueño Harald fue muy amable. Cabe mencionar que es pet friendly por lo que puedes llevar a tu mascota sin problemas, ademas que en el cuarto pusieron una camita y un plato para mi perrito. Sin duda regresare.

Izamal selber ist schon eine Reise wert und die Hacienda Santo Domingo der perfekte Ort um ein paar Tage zu verweilen. Der Besitzer Harald ist ist sehr nett und hat für jede Frage eine Antwort. Wir fühlten uns sehr gut aufgehoben und wurden mit feinem Essen verwöhnt. Die Zimmer sind wunderbar. Man fühlt sich wirklich wie auf einer Hacienda. Die sehr schönen Essplätze am Pool und im Patio sind wirklich romantisch. Schade, dass wir so bald wieder abreisen mussten. Aber wir werden wiederkommen.
