Amazing experience. Great for families and groups. You will get to learn about the history of haciendas in the region, about the henequen industry. The landscape is also beautiful and it has a small but stunning looking cenote at the end. Also the food didn't disappoint.

Such a peaceful place! Very friendly staff and good food. The tour was fantastic and the tour guide was great. The pool, which surrounds the restaurant, is pretty large and the view is magnificent too. The cabanas are clean and comfortable. An enjoyable experience - highly recommended.

We took the tour with food included, excellent option... three hours tour with a guide, you will see how a real Hacienda Henequera was, very interesting. At the end you will swim in a great Cenote, don’t forget bringing your swimsuit... be ready to take good shots for Instagram, so come with nice fresh clothes...

It is a bit expensive but worth it, great tour and place to visit. Tours are only at 10 and 1 this time of year. You can visit the chapel and gardens, we were early and needed to kill some time. Changing for the Cenote, swimming cavern, in advance is recommended. There are English and Spanish tours.

One of the most detailed tours we've been on during our Yucatan vacation. The hacienda is very well maintained and our guide was very informative and made sure we were entertained and haveing a good time. Learned so much about the history and how Sisal was made. Then took a nice swim in the cenote.

We took a morning tour around the hacienda and in the agave processing museum and I must say that it was one of the most interesting and balances tours. It was divided into several parts - live on hacienda, manual rope/fiber production and industrial production, agave planting and the cenote. Next to the cave is also a bar where they do great margarita from sauer oranges and local sisal based spirit. The guide was great and explained everything in both spanish and english and drink in the middle of the tour is also a nice details. Price might seem a bit high, but I would say that this is exactly how the tourism should look like. They brought old machines from US just to make the museum complete and they employ many local people. This place is prospering while hundreds of Yucatan haciendas are abandoned.

If you are mechanically inclined, or just a assembly line nerd like I am, you will thoroughly enjoy the tour of this sisal production/factory set in a beautifully restored hacienda compound. This venue also serves as a wedding-honeymoon destination in its resort-like setting. The staff were most gracious, informative and welcoming. Thanks for a wonderful afternoon spent learning soup-to-nuts how sisal-fiber turns from green-leafed plant to rope.

This Hacienda is so beautiful! They have a guided tour that literally is like travel in time, and transport you back to 19th century when the Hacienda was once a fully operational Hacienda Henequenera. It is also a luxurious hotel, the have spa, massages and their own private cenote.

Historical part of Mexican history. One of Yucatan's many haciendas that provided henequén fibers back in the mid 1800s. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided the tour in both English and Spanish. Also has a really beautiful cenote(underground water cave) that you can swim in after the tour. Great lunch options too, very delicious food.

We have taken the tour of this "living hacienda" twice, and it is truly a magical place. Guides give a rich and interesting history of the henequen industry, and the tour is capped off by a swim in the incredible underground cenote. It's well worth staying for a meal afterwards as they serve some of the best Yucatecan cuisine around. Arrive hungry as it's a huge 4-course meal. Make sure you try the Henequen margarita, a house specialty. Haven't stayed in the hotel but the individual cabanas with private dipping pools look amazing!!

Amazing! Highly recommend and also commend those who have salvaged this facinating and important part of Yucatan culture. The tour was 5 stars and quite reasonable and topped off with swim in a cenote and magaritas.

Nice live Hacienda near Merida. Good to see the old production of Sisal, some real animals on the ground. The main master house has nice antique. Trip to the cenote with an old carriage drawn with a mule. The hacienda seems to support many families in the area. You need to support this hacienda.

What a cool story. Who knew that Sisal was used for so much stuff. Clothes, rope, everything! The plantation is the only working one left and totally worth going for the tour. the swim at the private Cenote was so refreshing and great!

Daytrip from Merida: Uxmal first thing in the morning and then went on the excellent and engaging tour here at 1pm. Don't forget your swim suit. Enjoyed the restaurant after the tour, simple but well prepared and extensive buffet in a nice setting.

Great tour! You learn a lot about the former rope industry, and you profit from a covered cenope to swim in. The restaurant offers very good dishes, try the coconut cream!

A wonderful visit to a hacienda that produced sisal during the mid 1800's to mid 1900's. It was a very informative tour and authentically recreated the era of this flourishing economy in the Yucatan.
