The plaza is an open garden area in the center of Melaque/San Patricio. It is surrounded by restaurants and shops and the church. Most evenings there are vendors and many people

If you really want to enjoy quiet times and beautiful sunsets here is the place.

Melaque is a very busy and wonderful little town in Jalisco. There are many little shops to look around at and vendors around during the night especially. There are many food places to choose from and especially from vendors. The people are very warm and welcoming and friendly. I love visiting here all the time. We have family that lives here and I don't mind visiting at all and I always look forward to going here. The town is very reasonable for everything. You won't complain. The weather is usually humid and comfortable except for the month of July. During July the weather is extremely hot and humid, and sticky. The weather is like summer like usually during the whole year even through rainy seasons. You'll never find yourself wearing any coats at all or sweatpants sweatshirts or sweaters. Always shorts t-shirts or tank tops!

Such a great town!!! We have been coming here for years! How ever the ATMs did not have pesos this year!! We tried several times.
