Cenote Sambulá

This is a great place to visit located 10 minutes from main downtown. It's a deep sinkhole in limestone with beautiful clear water you can see fish swim. This place provided 🦺. You can also enjoy their small local museum.

What a nice awesome little place. My two years old kid loved it. The waters are not deep, so I felt safe to get my kid inside. Price is good and worth it. We went during the week an pretty much got the place to ourselves.
There is also a shopping corner with some artisan works.

Welcoming staff, quite, nice little cafe. Of course main thing is the cenotes which does not disappoint either. Access is limited when water level is high but can still take a dip in it.

Beautiful cenote in a the small town of Motul. We went on a weekday morning and had the entire place to ourselves. The water is amazing and your eyes quickly adjust to darkness. Great place to cool off and a very inexpensive.

It's only worth five stars if you swim to the other cavern bybdragging yourself by your hands face up holding into the rock. Not for the faint of heart!

A cozy little cenote with a timed visit so enjoy every moment the clock is ticking.

Make sure to keep going past la Noria (the light). You will be able to see the big pool. It is awesome! Be ready to pay 70 pesos. If you go early, wait until the light is on as it is very dark! ;)

Wonderful place! Small but beautiful. Price is reasonable (40 pesos per adult with 10 pesos to rent a locker). Free parking.
On the way there, we stopped at a street taco stand owned by Christian. The BEST asada tacos we've ever had... his brother, Victor, owns the restaurant AT the cenote, and he was SO gracious! Our entire experience was awesome, Start to Finish.

Speaking from the point of view from an American tourist from NYC, this was such a refreshing and charming little escape. The staff and shopkeepers were some of the loveliest people we met while visiting the area (and surrounding areas) and the restaurant was great. The centote swimming area is admittedly small, but none-the-less refreshing and we met a wonderful family. All in all a one of a kind stop-off

Beautiful clear water cenote that is semi underground. The water isn’t deep. You can touch the bottom in most parts.

April 2022 - the female toilets need to be fixed. They do not flush and some funky stuff was in the toilet bowl 😵‍💫

It is worth the 12 peso admission price. It's not huge, but it is a great spot to cool off and swim underground.

The facilities are well-maintained and offer bathrooms and spots to change into swimwear. Also, there are showers for after swimming. There is a little restaurant right in the adjacent park that looked good. The park is well kept and pleasant to hang out in and enjoy the sun.

Beautiful cenote. Very clean and crystal water, the place is shallow so it is safe for anyone. The place is not well known for what is common to see it with few people. It has parking and bicycle rental premises for tours of the area. The facilities of the place are in good condition

Safe and small, with a man made skylight in the middle. I visited in December so it wasn't crowded. Great experience for the whole family and it costs less than a dollar per ticket.

Great cheap cenote. Entrance fee is basically nothing and they even have lockers and a very essential place to get changed. Beautiful underground cenote to relax and cool off.

Avoid the vacations times and the weekends and you will ve able to enjoy the location.
Make sure to bring a waterproof flashlight as there is no artificial lights provided on site.
It is far from being the nicest cenote in Yucatan, but for the price (13.00 Pesos in 2018), you cannot ask for more. Even though you can say that you have been in the cenote where Felipe Carillo Puerto had his many meetings to plan and organize the post revolution.

Great little cenote, run by the city in Motul.....therefore inexpensive to visit. It is situated in a little resort that is used for events and also had a little restaurant. Nice afternoon spent 😊
