Restaurant Y Hotel "Santa Maria"

Very nice experience. We went for a walk through the suburbs and night and felt completely safe.

The food at the restaurant is great and the room was what we needed.

I did not stay but I had food and visited the Cenote. Very beautiful place with great service. The property is very well taken care of.

I stayed here for 8 nights by myself while I did my thesis research. Per night the rooms are MXN$525 and the breakfast package is MXN$110 that includes coffee, fruit and a main plate (different versions of eggs or pancakes). The staff is amazing, room is clean, and the food is great- all Maya cuisine. There is AC and wifi in every room too. Doña Laura (the owner) is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Even if you’re only in Homun for the day it’s a great place to end your day of cenote visits, poolside with una cerveza. There is also Santa María caves/cenote practically connected to the hotel. This cenote has minimally been modified and you must take a tour with my now good friend Maribel, the woman who lives next door. Overall, this was a great stay, thank you!

Service for lunch was prompt and friendly. Our waiter brought us chips with 2 dips: a creamy, cheesy white dip with finely pureed chile pepper in it, and a delicious black bean puree. We went a little overboard with our order: sopa de lima, guacamole, pork salbutes and my favorite, cochinita pibil. All were completely delectable! We ate ourselves silly! Great place!

Very nice clean hotel. Value for it's money. Good brekfast and dinner. Finished with Cazuma cenotes late evening and decided to stay for a night not to drive to Cancun at night.

Great local food and service. We had the Cochinita Pibil and Poc-Chuch, both tasty and very generous portions. Hand made tortillas too.

A good hotel with a great restaurant that serves true Mayan cuisine, with great service and reasonable prices, you must try the Poc Chuc dish, everything is delicious!

También aceptan pago con tarjeta, por si no quieres gastar tu efectivo para los cenotes

Es un hotel que hemos visitado en varias ocasiones. La ubicación es excelente ya que caminando llegas al centro en unos minutos. Tiene estacionamiento grande, alberca, jardín y colinda con un cenote. El precio de las habitaciones es justo y el hotel es cómodo. Comimos en el restaurantes y vale la pena todo riquísimo. La atención por parte del personal es excelente, espero volver pronto.

Ce restaurant m'a enchantée.
Le bâtiment, bien-sûr aux teintes chaudes, est décoré de suspensions donnant un air de fête.
Les tables faites d'un bois de grande qualité sont de taille à pouvoir recevoir tous les petits plats qui vont se succéder.
L'accueil est d'une telle douceur et met à l'aise aussitôt, c'est si agréable !
Pour patienter notre cher hôte nous offre une assiette avec des tacos maison et 3 petites sauces : sikilpak (graines de courges grillées + tomate + orange amère), haricots en crème, crème blanche au chili

Puis j'ai goûté mes premiers panuchos ! Spécialité du Yucatán. L'assiette en contient 3. Ce sont des galettes frites de maïs généreusement recouvertes de crème d'haricot/ laitue /oignons doux /dinde(ou autre) et avocat local (jaune). Copieux !!
Je me suis régalée ! J'avais demandé de remplacer un des 3 par un panucho maya (avec de l'œuf) et ça a été fait avec le sourire.
Vraiment heureuse de ce temps passé de grande qualité au restaurant Santa María !
Je fais le vœu de revenir savourer la vie ici. Avec le chaya piña bien-sûr (jus de feuille locale+ananas) 💛
