One of the best chalets in Perhantian, Very good value for money, friendly staff and a romm with a mini fridge which is very useful for families who have babies/children.

Looking for a clean place to stay in an idyllic location than look no further than Abduls Chalet’s. The service on arrival is not the best , they just hand you a key and wish you a good stay. Food at the restaurant was average, but there are many other places further down the beach that you can eat at. The room has a private bathroom with hot water and a great air conditioning unit. Located 15 m from the beach you can hear the waves crashing as you sleep. Nice bed but no room service or new towels unless you request. Will stay again

Abdul's Chalets is a wonderful property located on Pulau Perhentian Besar. We booked the 3 nights 4 days package with one additional night and found this the right amount of time to enjoy the island. The booking was done through the property's website and email address, and the price was one of the lowest we could find for such a package. The staff orgnized two snorkeling tips for us, one around the island (Turtle Beach, Shark Point, Fish Point and Turtle Bay), and one to Rawa Island. Both were excellent. The food was great too, with a wide variety of fruits, juices, fish, and meat. You are able to find both local and Western food in the menu. The staff were very kind, they advised us on the schedule to the Kota Bharu airport and provided us with the return boat transfer tickets from/to the mainland as part of the package. The wifi worked very well in the reception area. We stayed in the Garden View Chalet, which had air conditioning, a private bathroom, a mini fridge, a fan and a very comfortable bed. We appreciated the ornate interior and spend quite a few hours at the terrace every day. If you are a hiker and want to experience the jungle, you could do a loop around the island through the jungle, visiting Teluk Kekek, Flora Bay Beach and Perhentian Island Resort Beach. On your way, you may encounter leaf monkeys, gekkos, and larger monitor lizzards. Good snorkelling is possible at a nearby beach of Teluk Kekek. Finally, Abdul's Chalets has a jetty just steps away from the reception. We were very happy staying at Abdul's and hope to return!

Food was so good, the pictures do not do the beauty of this place justice. Water is crystal clear and the staff are so accommodating. Rooms are perfectly clean and have nice layout and color scheme. A lot more modern than i expected! The tiga rasa set is so yummy

Had amazing 5 nights here. Room is clean and bed is comfy. Water heater works well, aircon is cold too. Nice beautiful beach. Staff is friendly. They had a variety of food but to me it wasn't that great except the local malay food. And food n drinks a bit pricey for me. Inside room has a fridge , no kettle , 3 power point plug , strings&clips to hang. Will come back.

We had a wonderful three night here! Beautiful staff, beautiful beach, restaurants nearby to walk to. The chalet’s are on the water and all the necessary amenities, aircon, clean, fridge. Very well priced.

There is no alcohol at the restaurant and a lot of restaurants on the islands so BYO. Tuna Bay Cafe nearby does have alcohol though.

We would stay again :)

Restaurant: The food was awesome..some of the dishes was served better than 5 stars hotel. They care about the environment and everything was served with reusable material. The staff were kind.

Room: They built a host infont of your chalet for you to wash your feet off the sand. Hemp rope around your chalet to hangyour cloths, in some you can find clothes clip, advisable to bring extra. Hanger is also provided. Broom in every chalet for you to swipe the sand out from your room. Toilet was equipped with water heater and bidet spray. Two power sockets, 1 in room 1 in toilet.

Beach: Nice beach facing the west, water was crystal clear. Lots dead bleached coral can be found on the beach (partly due to global warming ) Please use miniral sunscreen with non-nano particles (reef-friendly) to prevent the coral to absorb harmful chemicals & nano particles ultimately leads to death.

Leisure: Kayak, life jacket, snorkle equipment(no power lense)... available for rental. They even have a whole book shelf for you to rent book (Rental fee: RM5)

Connectivity: Wifi available at the restaurant. If you need to the internet in your room, get a celcom sim card, they have full bar 4g+ here.

Things that could improve: hammacks and umbrellas on the beach.

Lovely chalets on the beach with air-conditioning! Beautiful beach and part of Perhentians super relaxing and able to take a walk up and down the beach avoiding crowds. They don't serve alcohol but you can bring your own or get some at the hotel next door.

Amazing location right on a beautiful beach where you can watch the sunset from your balcony. Very helpful and kind staff. The food was also good and cheap. The facilities are not very modern and obviously need inprovement, but the price and the location really compensates for them.

We really love this place. Chalet is spacious. Staff are very friendly. Food is great. Try their Masak Kunyit and Curry, Mango Lassi, Barbeque is also nice with their Molly sauce. Environment is friendly. Water is clear. We have seen puffer fish, barracuda, yellow fishes when you snorkel just in front of the resort. Highly recommended. Will definitely come back again. We stayed 7D6N.

I just went to Perhentian last weekend. It was a well spent holiday with my big family. I booked fullboard package for my family & I took sea view room.

GREAT:
- Beach was very clean.
- Water was crystal clear, nice for snorkeling.
- Chalet was clean & spacious.
- Food was delicious.
- Staff was very friendly and helpful.
- The best thing is, no alcohol served.
- Rental fee for snorkeling gear & canoeing was reasonable.
- Very close to jetty.

SETBACK (unfortunately, cannot be changed):
- Some of the corals by the beach were dead.

If I were to visit Perhentian again, I will surely come to Abdul Chalet.

I have traveled extensively throughout South East Asia, on my own and with my wife/children. There are very few places around where you feel this welcome and where you get so much more than you pay for. Nicest staff you'll ever meet, clean and inviting rooms. Not to mention that the location at the end of the beach means that there are very few passers by.

It might be good to know that this is not a party-place. It's for the seasoned backpacker on a budget or a family who doesn't need five star hotel standards. Those looking for a party better go looking further north or on long beach (Kecil).

It is unfortunately heavily booked in the high season, but even in the low season it's hard to find a room here - you'd do well to book in advance.

The boats should drop you off outside the beach, though there are a few scammers who try to charge you extra for this.

Been a returning visitor since 1996 and really happy about it.

The stay in ACh was indeed amazing. The locationas well as the chalets themselves create a wonderfully tropical ambiance and feel. When it comes to the quality of accommodation and the surroundings I missed absolutely nothing and I think the place really deserves 5 or even 6 stars but still, let me break it down into two parts anyway.

Pros

So as mentioned above - excellent location + accommodation

The chalets are equipped tastefully and are super clean

The bed is ultra comfy and I had wonderful sleep in them - I seriously felt rejuvenated after each night - falling asleep and waking up with the sound of waves that's something I can't get never enough of

Turquoise waters right in front of the chalets (sea view option)

Calmness and serenity

No annoying mosquitoes or other insects except for a few flies here and there

Fantastic weather

Good breakfast with plenty of coffee

Cons

A reading lamp wouldn't go amiss but okay,  this can hardly make me complain much

Wi-Fi only available for a couple of hours - breakfast and dinner time

The fact that they say coconut has finished while they are surrounded by coconut palms is beyond me,but okay,  you can get it elsewhere

Overall,  I would like to definitely come back. I love this place and will seriously miss it.  I actually didn't feel like leaving at all.  Terima Kasih.

All the best and keep up the good work.

Ps: Get some strong, handsome pal from your team to collect a few coconuts. It really belongs to such a place:)

Superb as always. There are many foreigners this time around. After all its peak season in August. I can see the golden glitter of the sunshine reflected by the calm sea. It's so beautiful and relaxing over here. This place is going to be my repeated holiday destination for sure year after year.

We didn't sleep there but we walked here everyday to eat at the restaurant. The food was always good and the staff was really nice. After 2 days the waiter already knew us and knew what we wanted to drink:)

Perhentian Isle's is a perfect spot for sea lovers activities. Abdul Chalet serves at least 3 exclusive sport. For non swimmers theres Hiking trail with almost zero casualty to endure. For novice swimmers perfect for float exercise and perfecting strokes.
For Scuba novice and pros theres a lot to discover, well play safe and have a good time in Perhentian..
