Catholic Church of The Assumption, PJ

The church is newly renovated, we pay a visit on Sunday and have a wonderful time worship God. The church have a nice acoustic reverb, observed the the hymns are still using the book, would be nice if can have them projected..

As of 16 Dec 2023, the main church has reopened after major renovation. It's now fully air-conditioned, and it's much more comfortable now compared to before renovation when it was hot and stuffy. Weekend mass times remain at 6pm on Saturday and 8:30am & 11:30am on Sundays.

Hi can anyone help to answer. What is the the usual timing for English mass or Bahasa melayu mass? Your answer will be very helpful. I check thier website and Facebook but couldn't find the answer.

Church of the Assumption is one of the main Catholic Churches in Petaling Jaya, besides St Fracnis Xavier. In fact, both are not too far off and are connected by the Gasing and Templer road. This church also has a community house where various programmes are held. I had the opportunity to organise human rights forums and programmes here and hence, am grateful to the parish administrators who were open to have critical discussions and debates, as per the Catholic faiths calling.

It has been a very long time since MCO came. The feeling is so much different. When you have large crowds in and out of church. There are no music to accompany our singing. For me this is the second time attending church services. When they open the door for us to go and worship our Lord. God Bless.

To be honest, 4 years ago at the beginning I did not like to come here because of the community. Not so friendly and too judging. They are not welcoming of Sabahan and Sarawakian at that time. A lot of pressure during that year and does hurt some of us. But since Father Gregory Chan became the priest here, he changed the community. Thank you Lord for sending an angel to guide and make us whole again to praise Your holy Name together in Christ.

Peace, serenity and the presence of God. Parking will be a problem so Park in Assunta Hospital's multilevel parking and when mass is over collect the flat rate parking ticket (RM3) from the Hospitality Minister on your way out. You can show the ticket at the parking lot management office and they will validate your ticket there.

Our Ever Beloved Parish Church. I like Father Greg and the way he delivers the gospels with his sermons. It's straight forward and makes us realise and the wanting to practice it at our very best in our daily life. Father Greg is doing his very best too, to fill in the presence of our beloved late Father Mari Arokiam.

One of the oldest Catholic church in the Petaling Jaya district. Best place to pray and worship.

Easy to reach if you are a tourist or foreigner looking for this church. Just find assunta hospital then it is next to the hospital. If u cant stand with the wind of the fan donot sit infront.

Improvements over the years has made this church a nice place as air flows are very good now that you won't feels hot inside the church during mass.

It's a place of worship and it is celebrating its 60 years anniversary also one of the oldest church in petaling Jaya district.

A vibrant church and community. Drop by if you feel burdened. Just sit in the pews and rest your heart. You will be renewed.

Popular Catholic Parish Church in the older part of Petaling Jaya and is frequented by numerous Catholics from out of town as well.

The place is not far from a private hospital which is just beside of it.It also have mass every day which you can attend to.
