The owner is very thoughtful and sweet. He made everything easy for us to have a pleasant stay. It really felt like home.
The ability to cook, do your washing, and use the bicycle are a huge plus !

The host is really kind and friendly. He provide us kuih for breakfast everyday. The room is really comfortable and clean. The location is close to the jetty to go to the waterfront. You will get your money worth staying here!

Pakcik matnor was very helpful and kind. The place was clean and comfy. There are small refrigerator, tv, electric kettle and on. And it really worth the price. While staying in here, I feel like I was living in authentic malay kampong and that's what I want. The location is very strategic, you can use boat for RM 1 to reach the guesthouse. If I have the chance to come to Kuching I'll definitely visit this place again. It was a great opportunity to stay in here. Oh pakcik matnor also recommended us to try mie laksa just beside the guesthouse and it was delish!!

The price is the cheapest in town we can get, pak cik matnor is very friendly, quick service at providing for our requests, bought us breakfasts too. Budget guesthouse, would recommend to all.

Best stay in whole Sarawak! The host is so friendly and nice, the rooms are clean, good internet, good bathroom, a terrace. Perfect stay!

Stayed here for 6 nights. Price is so reasonable, cheapest in town. Strategic location, near (400m) to Pengkalan Kampung Lintang where you can get a boat to cross the river, for RM1 fare. Easy to find makan place everywhere in Kampung Lintang and by the roadside of Jalan Astana (walking distance). The owner, Pakcik Matnor was also very responsive and never failed to reply my text.
There is a fridge and electric kettle in the room, you can ask for iron and iron board. Small pantry outside with basic cooking utensils, small table just outside the room, and washing machine too. I am more than happy staying here. In Shaa Allah jika ada rezeki datang ke Kuching saya akan tinggal di sini lagi. Thank you Pakcik Matnor and Makcik Normala for the great hospitality. #feelsathome

Owner Mat Noor is very friendly and attentive. We booked a superior room and it was fantastic; fully equipped with all the necessities you could ever ask for. He also has a small rental car for rm70/day if you plan to drive around Kuching.

stay for 5days with husband, small daughter and mother + uncle and aunt plus rent the owner Kenari car to go around Kuching, comfort, cozy and safe house, in village area but nearby city centre/shops and only walking distance to the boat jetty. worth it stay with small family because feels like own house especially the complete kitchen, utinsels, and washer machine. The owner and family just stay beside/upper the house and they are very kind. will stay here again if come to kuching again.

Merdeka is just a wonderfull place to stay. Owners are lovely, accomodation is clean and comfy, and it is super easy to get to the city centre! You can even ask the owner to drive you around and you can rent his bicycles to get around Kuching. Definitely one of the best places i stayed in Kuching!
