Hospital Umum Sarawak

Most of the buildings are old. There are new ones as well. The service and facilities are very good and some even better than the private hospitals.

The nurses are overworked but they still try to do their duties as best as they can.

Most doctors and nurses as well as other personnel are kind and gentle speaking to patients. At least this is what I see. There may be one of two sour apples... they obviously are in the wrong profession.

In my mind and to my eyes, Sarawak General Hospital is the best in Malaysia. I pray that the Sarawak government continue to support its growth and development and not wait for the federal beings to lift a finger.

May God bless the doctors, nurses and all support personnel for the good job they are doing.

No doubt waiting time is an issues and process very tedious, but really appreciated to all SGH staff, doctors and nurses for their passion of work, contributions and very helpful.

Good hospital and good service ..even its free hospital but they really take care of the patient and treat nicely.
The only thing make me feel sad once i giving birth there .. one nurse was very rude with me .. i was cry because of the pain but she keep asking me "why you have to cry, how you going to be mother" with angry face.

Good services and nice staffs. I had experience stay back here to taking care of my brother here for one week.

Last time there is no parking problem due to most people come by public transport or sent by relatives. Nowadays, most people can afford buying cars and everyone bring own car, that is the main cause why not enough parking. We cannot blame the Hospital.

Excellent modern parking area and new building. Salute to the government for improving the facilities for the sake of communities.

Doctors, nurses, all the hospital staffs were very caring, responsible. But currently this hospital still under expansion and construction. Public toilets may needs frequent cleaning and maintenance.

Not the best looking hospital in the world, but they have excellent doctors and surgeons on 24 hours standby, a real blood bank, and good equipment. Private hospitals in Kuching dont have these. ps - people who donate blood are awesome.

Ample parking spaces.

The Sarawak General Hospital, under the Ministry Of Health (MOH) or Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM), has very much improved in terms of services, facilities and also the hospital staffs' courtesy, unlike the old days. As with any government hospitals, which provides free to very minimal subsidised medical charges, overcrowding of patients and visitors pose a major problem, hence, finding a proper place to park your vehicle is also troublesome despite the fact that quite a huge area has been allocated for public carpark.

Is a croweded hospital with multiple-speciality , most comphrehensive medical facilities around malaysia (according to HOD surgery, 2015).
Learning from here is superb with a lot of specialist.
Specialist are superb, with tons of experiences.

To me, it is the best government hospital in Malaysia.

Main hospital in Sarawak housing specialist on different fields of medical expertise. Services are improving. Keep it up!

Never end-medical care if you are willing to wait. Its just the parking space wasn't manageable as the new space was in progress.
