I just like the spacious atmosphere there so cool and so loving .saint Patrick cathedral Akwa is just one of the best cathedrals I have ever seen around ..just so magnificent.

It's a Catholic Church at the heart of Awka Town, several masses are celebrated there on Sundays and they celebrate daily morning masses. A nice place to worship. A Chapel is inside it.

One of the biggest cathedral in Nigeria. Though I don't like the nature of the eco system and the sound waves especially when microphone is being used inside the cathedral. It keeps resounding and stresses you to listen. The statue of Saints is really very beautiful and the cathedral should be a site to visit for tourists. It is so big and have the edifoces of a big ship

St. Patrick's New Cathedral, Awka is located along the Regina Caeli Road, Awka, directly opposite Regina Caeli Specialist Hospital and Maternity Awka. It's a very big modern church with a very large compound. It shares the same fence with St. John of God Girls Secondary School, Awka. It has a gate linking its compound to the compound of the Old St. Patrick's Cathedral Church compound. In this New Cathedral compound is a new two storeys building and a small Chapel beside it belonging to the Knights of St Molumba. The New Rectory of the Catholic Diocese of Awka is also located there. People book this Cathedral for special weddings that take place every Saturday and it is managed by the Cathedral Administrator. Sunday Masses are held there too and the Diocesan Bishop and his Auxiliary celebrate Ordination Masses there every year.
