Alvan Ikoku Hostel should be refurbished to boost competitive participation . The facility is in sore need of structural repair for relaxation of student occupancy and to withstand crowd. Situated at a vantage point of UNN the hostel should be given a facelift to represent a truly old tradition and yet face modern academic demands. 32% rating.

This hostel got my 5 star rating in strong structure, but lack of maintenance has cost the planned work very dirty and unkept. Change can only be achieved if the mindset of The VC changes about boys and refurbish is embarked.

Well that's the hostel I stay for the time being for schooling, it nice the way u want to see it.. you just have to adapt

The building is strong, but the inside environment is dirty especially the toilet, the electricity wiring is poor a danger trap and bedbugs is all the rooms

Alvan ikoku hostel is one of the two hostels for boys in the university of Nigeria Nsukka. It has about 160 rooms, legally meant for 4 boys per room. It is fun to be in Alvan ikoku hostel.

The toilets and bathrooms is a total mess,the Vice chancellor has abandoned the boys to suffer,this is a disgrace to the dignity of man.
