Van der Valk Hotel Apeldoorn

Very good location, easy to find. overall a very fancy looking location where the staff is extremely kind. The food in the restaurant was amazing, I went with 8 other people and most of the time the food was served at the same time. I'd definitely drive here just for the quality of service and the good food!

Wonderful room, very good location of the hotel in nature. The pool is amazing, especially when it's open until midnight. The only negative - the breakfast was poor, and the fruit salad was spoiled.

Whenever I'm in the Netherlands I try to get a room in a Van der Valk hotel, even when the drive to the customer is a bit longer.
I never had a bad experience with this group, the rooms are spacious and clean, the breakfast is great and the room is maybe 30 euro more expensive than other hotels which are sometimes a rat cave.

Stayed a week. Hotels were very nice. Located outside of the Apeldoorn town center. The all you can eat breakfast was one of the nicest I have ever seen at a hotel. I ate in the restaurants several times and the food was also great. They also allow you to rent bikes or electrc bikes out front. Would stay again if the location makes sense.

Very nice and clean hotel. Located outside from Apeldoorn city. Hugh parking lot available nearby. Pets allowed. Access to the swimming pool and wellness spa included in the reservation (bath robes can be rent). Great breakfast selection, lounge bar and restaurant completes the offer

Fabulous, comfortable hotel.
Great interior with nice ambience.
Nice menu for dinner, and it had a smaller portions section too.
The breakfast buffet was really good with a huge selection.
Great bar area with lots of seating, and a seating area for lighter meals too. There's a large outside terrace for the warmer time of year.
Friendly staff. Huge car park.
We will definitely come back, maybe for a longer stay.

Room was spacious and clean. Dog friendly. Nice swimming pool with sauna. The food at dinner was below average.

Very nice hotel in general. Big room, new, nice spa area and excellent swimming pool. The food is great: everything we tried was great and people are extremely friendly. If I need to find a negative aspect is that a little far from the city centre, but by car is less than 15 minutes.

Wonderful hotel and restaurant, the room was large with a luxurious bathroom. The morning breakfast was fresh with a delicious selection of warm foods, breads, fruits, cheese and meats. The restaurant gets busy so reservations are recommended for groups over 2.

Back again and and the standard is still high marks. The front desk was very friendly and helpful, arranging transportation for me in the morning. The bar was busy but well attended.

Beautiful lobby and restaurant, on par with the finest 5-star hotels! We enjoyed a light meal in the restaurant and it was enough to feel very relaxed and wanting to stay longer!

Recently completed hotel conversion in an old factory and they have done a really great job. It is a good 4* pushing 5* in places. The room was fantastic and well equipped and the whole place was a pleasure to be in. The restaurant was very good and the bar also. The price was amazing - and to think that I had paid the same price for this room, as the room I had stayed in the night before in a total s*** hole of a hotel in Brussels (see my previous review) it is amazing what can be achieved.

Great value and the extended breakfast and checkout time compared to other hotels allowed us to relax more in the morning. Thanks to the bar staff who took our order from the fireplace in the main lobby, it really made our night! The standard room is big and the layout of the room is done very well!

This hotel is in one word awesome! The rooms are super spacious they have a big screen television mounted on a hinged panel so you can easily manipulate the viewing angle. The bathrooms are as spacious as the rooms and have an excellent, modern, bathtub. The shower is a big rain shower with a beautiful glass separating wall. The room is also outfitted with a safe and a small coffee maker. The staff is super friendly, accessible and attentive. The restaurant serves excellent food and the breakfast is beyond extensive. Also saunas, swimming pool and fitness area with a wide array of fitness machines and free weights are free to use as long as you are a guest.

We totally enjoyed our stay here. The bedroom was very big and comfortable. The bed was cozy. The bathroom was just perfect (especially the dyson hair dryer). The breakfast was more than sufficient, perfect. We had dinner in the restaurant and we totally enjoyed it. The design of the hotel ist modern and very stylish. There were nothing we could ask for more.

This hotel is very very popular in Apeldoorn. There are two different hotels with the same name. I stayed on the new one. Both have very delicious restaurants. The garden and the Glas House is nlce. Staff is highly friendly. The bar is also one of the best of Apeldoorn. You can reach the hotel via taxi approximately 15 euro from train station. Public transport is not common in this small town.

Very nice hotel. Clean and spacious rooms with an absolute stunning bathroom. The hotel has a pool, sauna's and a fitnessroom. Due to Covid-19 that is all closed now but I know from previous visits that these are awesome too. Food is good and the breakfast buffet (when open) is very generous. Again because of covid-19 we didn't have a chance to use the buffet so instead we got a breakfast box. Also very generous and good quality. I can really recommend this hotel if you need a good time out or just as a way to spend the night when out for business.

Amazing hotel. It is very well designed and styled, which made you feel right at home. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The swimming pool and sauna is a great extra to have, especially with those Dutch rainy days. Do keep in mind that some part of the sauna is automated to turn on and off at specific hours.
The hotel also has a great bar, cafe and restaurant. All serve great food and drinks for a very reasonable price.
Location will become better when they are finished with the garden, as for now some rooms only look over the highway. However location is great for a trip to the national park "Hoge Veluwe".
We will definitely go back here.

The wedding from Derrel and Chantal was very nice, also thanks to the staff. Good food and ambiance.
